Der Rundwanderweg, der durchgängig mit dem grünen Diagonalstrich, der Markierung für Themenwege und Lehrpfade in Thüringen, gekennzeichnet ist, beginnt am Wanderstart in Lichtenhain, direkt an der Bergstation der Oberweißbacher Bergbahn. Zuerst durch den kleinen Ort Lichtenhain, dann nach Unterqueren der Gleise der Steilstrecke der Bergbahn, führt der Weg durch den von Fichten und Kiefern dominierten Hochwald abwärts zur Tränke. Wie die Bezeichnung Tränke vermuten lässt, entspring hier aus dem Berghang eine Quelle, die als Tränke für die auf den Weiden der Hochflächen gehaltenen Rinder genutzt wurde (bis in die Mitte des 20. Jahrhun-derts). Bänke laden heute an diesem vom Wald umgebenen Platz zur Rast ein. Nun führt der Weg leicht aufwärts zu den Gleisen der Steilstrecke der Bergbahn. Hier bietet sich die Gelegenheit, die auf- bzw. abwärtsfahrenden unterschiedlichen Wagen der Bergbahn zu beobachten und besondere Erinnerungsfotos zu schießen. Nach dem Unterqueren der Gleise führt der Weg durch die Weidenflächen, die sich rund um den kleinen Ort Lichtenhain erstrecken. Aus fast 600 m über NN bieten sich von hier herrliche Aussichten auf die Berge, die in der Blickrichtung nach Nord-Osten das Tal der Schwarza umrahmen. Über "den Anspann" - einem Ort an einem alten Handelsweg gelegen, an dem die Fuhrleute nach dem Anstieg aus dem Schwarzatal die Pferde wechselten bzw. ihnen eine Rast gönnten, erreichen wir wieder den Wald und folgen nun dem alten Handelsweg am Friedhof von Lichtenhain vorbei, abwärts . Wir erreichen den Abzweig zu den Sachsensteinen, bleiben aber weitere 100 m auf dem Handelsweg, um zum Steinbruchblick zu gelangen. Hier von der Höhe des Steinbruchs von Mellenbach hat man einen freien Blick ins Tal der Schwarza, auf den Ort Mellenbach-Glasbach und am Horizont auf den über 800 m hohen Langen Berg. Zurück am Abzweig zum Sachsenstein führt der Weg ein kleines Stück bergauf, bevor, von Bäumen fast verdeckt, die Sachensteine erreicht werden. Auf einer Infotafel kann man hier Wissenswertes über die Geologie der Region erfahren. Bald danach wird der Schweden- oder Totenstein erreicht. Warum er so heißt kann man an Ort und Stelle mit der Legende vom Schweden- oder Totenstein an einer Infotafel nachlesen. Weiter aufwärts durch den Wald erreicht man wieder die Weideflächen von Lichtenhain und den sogenannten "Vogelherd". Hier wurden früher Singvögel gefangen, die dann in kleinen Käfigen zur Freude der Fänger oder der Käufer gehalten, oder in Notzeiten auch verspeist wurden. Ab hier geht es zurück nach Lichtenhain und den Ort durchquerend, hinauf zu einer kleinen Anhöhe mit Schutzhütte und Grillplatz, die die Bezeichnung "Schau ins Land" erhalten hat. Und tatsächlich, der freie Blick von hier lädt zur längeren Rast ein. Weiter durch den Ort Lichtenhain gelangt man zur Flachstrecke der Bergbahn, die Lichtenhain mit dem Erholungsort Cursdorf verbindet. Durch den Fröbelwald mit seinen interessanten Stationen zu wichtigen Themen aus der Geschichte der Region führt der Naturlehrpfad zurück zum Wanderstart. Le circuit de randonnée, qui est entièrement balisé par le grand trait diagonal, le balisage des sentiers thématiques et éducatifs de Thuringe, commence au départ de la randonnée à Lichtenhain, directement à la station supérieure du chemin de fer de montagne d'Oberweibach. Il traverse d'abord le petit village de Lichtenhain, puis, après être passé sous les rails de la ligne à forte déclivité du chemin de fer de montagne, il descend à travers la forêt dominée par les épicéas et les pins jusqu'à la Tränke. Comme le laisse supposer la désignation Tränke, une source jaillissait ici du versant de la montagne et était utilisée comme abreuvoir pour les bovins élevés sur les pâturages des hautes plaines (jusqu'au milieu du 20e siècle). Aujourd'hui, des bancs invitent à se reposer sur cette place entourée de forêt. Le chemin monte ensuite légèrement jusqu'aux rails de la ligne à forte déclivité du chemin de fer de montagne. C'est l'occasion d'observer les différents wagons du train de montagne qui montent ou descendent et de prendre des photos souvenirs. Après être passé sous la voie ferrée, le sentier traverse les pâturages qui entourent le petit village de Lichtenhain. A près de 600 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer, il offre de magnifiques vues sur les montagnes qui encadrent la vallée de la Schwarza dans la direction nord-est. En passant par ; "den Anspann" - un lieu situé sur une ancienne route commerciale où les charretiers changeaient de chevaux après la montée de la vallée de la Schwarza ou leur permettaient de se reposer - nous rejoignons à nouveau la forêt et suivons maintenant l'ancien chemin commercial en passant devant le cimetière de Lichtenhain, vers le bas. Nous atteignons la bifurcation vers les pierres de Saxe, mais restons encore 100 m sur le chemin commercial pour arriver à la vue sur la carrière. De la hauteur de la carrière de Mellenbach, on a une vue dégagée sur la vallée de la Schwarza, sur le village de Mellenbach-Glasbach et, à l'horizon, sur la montagne Longue, qui culmine à plus de 800 m. De retour à la bifurcation vers le Sachsenstein, le chemin monte un peu avant d'atteindre les Sachensteine, presque cachées par des arbres. Un panneau d'information permet d'en savoir plus sur la géologie de la région. Peu après, on atteint le "Schwedenstein" ou "Totenstein". On peut lire sur place la légende de la pierre suédoise ou de la pierre morte sur un panneau d'information et comprendre pourquoi elle s'appelle ainsi. Continuer à monter à travers la forêt permet de retrouver les pâturages de Lichtenhain et le "Vogelherd". C'est ici que l'on capturait autrefois les oiseaux chanteurs, qui étaient ensuite gardés dans de petites cagettes pour le plaisir des pêcheurs ou des riverains, ou encore mangés en temps de crise. De là, on retourne à Lichtenhain et, en traversant le village, on monte vers une petite colline avec un abri et une aire de barbecue, qui a reçu le nom de "Schau ins Land". Et en effet, la vue dégagée d'ici invite à faire une pause plus longue. En continuant à travers le village de Lichtenhain, on arrive à la ligne de plaine du chemin de fer de montagne qui relie Lichtenhain à la station de repos de Cursdorf. Il traverse d'abord le petit village de Lichtenhain, puis, après être passé sous les rails de la ligne à forte déclivité du chemin de fer de montagne, il descend à travers la forêt dominée par les épicéas et les pins jusqu'à la Tränke. Comme le laisse supposer la désignation Tränke, une source jaillissait ici du versant de la montagne et était utilisée comme abreuvoir pour les bovins élevés sur les pâturages des hautes plaines (jusqu'au milieu du 20e siècle). Aujourd'hui, des bancs invitent à se reposer sur cette place entourée de forêt. </p><p>Le chemin monte ensuite légèrement jusqu'aux rails de la ligne à forte déclivité du chemin de fer de montagne. C'est l'occasion d'observer les différents wagons du train de montagne qui montent ou descendent et de prendre des photos souvenirs. </p> <p>Après être passé sous la voie ferrée, le sentier traverse les pâturages qui entourent le petit village de Lichtenhain. A près de 600 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer, il offre de magnifiques vues sur les montagnes qui encadrent la vallée de la Schwarza dans la direction nord-est. </p><p>En passant par &nbsp ; "den Anspann" - un lieu situé sur une ancienne route commerciale où les charretiers changeaient de chevaux après la montée de la vallée de la Schwarza ou leur permettaient de se reposer - nous rejoignons à nouveau la forêt et suivons maintenant l'ancien chemin commercial en passant devant le cimetière de Lichtenhain, vers le bas. Nous atteignons la bifurcation vers les pierres de Saxe, mais restons encore 100 m sur le chemin commercial pour arriver à la vue sur la carrière. De la hauteur de la carrière de Mellenbach, on a une vue dégagée sur la vallée de la Schwarza, sur le village de Mellenbach-Glasbach et, à l'horizon, sur la montagne Longue, qui culmine à plus de 800 m. </p> <p>De retour à la bifurcation vers le Sachsenstein, le chemin monte un peu avant d'atteindre les Sachensteine, presque cachées par des arbres. Un panneau d'information permet d'en savoir plus sur la géologie de la région. Peu après, on atteint le "Schwedenstein" ou "Totenstein". On peut lire sur place la légende de la pierre suédoise ou de la pierre morte sur un panneau d'information et comprendre pourquoi elle s'appelle ainsi</p>. <p>Continuer à monter à travers la forêt permet de retrouver les pâturages de Lichtenhain et le "Vogelherd". C'est ici que l'on capturait autrefois les oiseaux chanteurs, qui étaient ensuite gardés dans de petites cagettes pour le plaisir des pêcheurs ou des riverains, ou encore mangés en temps de crise.</p> <p>De là, on retourne à Lichtenhain et, en traversant le village, on monte vers une petite colline avec un abri et une aire de barbecue, qui a reçu le nom de "Schau ins Land". Et en effet, la vue dégagée d'ici invite à faire une pause plus longue. En continuant à travers le village de Lichtenhain, on arrive à la ligne de plaine du chemin de fer de montagne qui relie Lichtenhain à la station de repos de Cursdorf.
