Von den 413 km dieses Radweges, welche entlang der Leine bis in die Hansestadt Hamburg verlaufen, liegen die ersten 38 km im Thüringischen Eichsfeld. Bewaldete Höhenrücken, bunte Streuobstwiesen und malerische kleine Städte und Dörfer prägen diese tausendjährige Kulturlandschaft. Das Heilbad Heiligenstadt lädt mit seinen Kuranlagen und der historischen Altstadt zu einem Besuch des barocken Rathauses, der Aegidienkirche, der Kirche St. Martin und des Literaturmuseums"Theodor Storm" ein. Die Region begeistert nicht nur durch ihre schönen Landschaften und Natur, sondern auch die bekannte, regionalen Küche mit Eichsfelder Spezialitäten wie Schmandkuchen, Stracke und Feldgieker. Überall am Wegesrand gibt es viel Interessantes über diese Kulturlandschaft in der Mitte Deutschlands zu erfahren und zu besichtigen. Es bieten sich Abstecher zum "Alternativen Bärenpark" in Worbis, zur "Burg Scharfenstein" bei Beuren, zur Wallfahrtskapelle "Etzelsbach" und der Radwegekirche in Bodenrode an, aber auch die "Antoniuskirche" und die historischen Fachwerkhäuser in Worbis sind lohnende Ziele und einen Besuch wert.  Der Thüringische Teil des Radweges ist für Tourenradler und Naturliebhaber geeignet.

Of the 413 km of this bike path, which runs along the Leine River to the Hanseatic city of Hamburg, the first 38 km lie in the Thuringian Eichsfeld. Forested ridges, colorful orchards and picturesque small towns and villages shape this thousand-year-old cultural landscape. The spa town Heilbad Heiligenstadt invites you to visit its spa facilities and the historic old town with the baroque town hall, the Aegidien Church, St. Martin's Church and the literature museum "Theodor Storm". The region impresses not only with its beautiful landscapes and nature but also with the well-known regional cuisine featuring Eichsfeld specialties such as sour cream cake, Stracke, and Feldgieker. Along the way, there is much interesting information about this cultural landscape in the center of Germany to discover and visit. Excursions to the "Alternative Bear Park" in Worbis, to "Scharfenstein Castle" near Beuren, to the pilgrimage chapel "Etzelsbach" and the bike path church in Bodenrode are recommended, as well as the "St. Anthony Church" and the historic half-timbered houses in Worbis, which are worthwhile destinations and worth a visit. The Thuringian part of the bike path is suitable for touring cyclists and nature lovers.

Sur les 413 km de cet itinéraire cyclable qui longe la Leine jusqu’à la ville hanséatique de Hambourg, les premiers 38 km se situent dans l’Eichsfeld en Thuringe. Des crêtes boisées, des vergers variés colorés et de charmantes petites villes et villages caractérisent ce paysage culturel millénaire. La station thermale Heilbad Heiligenstadt invite à découvrir ses installations de cure et son centre historique avec l'hôtel de ville baroque, l'église Aegidien, l'église St. Martin et le musée littéraire "Theodor Storm". La région séduit non seulement par ses beaux paysages et sa nature, mais aussi par sa cuisine régionale renommée avec des spécialités d’Eichsfeld telles que le gâteau au fromage blanc, la Stracke et le Feldgieker. Partout au bord du chemin, il y a beaucoup de choses intéressantes à apprendre et à découvrir sur ce paysage culturel au cœur de l’Allemagne. Des excursions sont proposées vers le "parc alternatif des ours" à Worbis, le "château Scharfenstein" près de Beuren, la chapelle de pèlerinage "Etzelsbach" et l’église du chemin de randonnée à Bodenrode, mais aussi l’"église Saint-Antoine" et les maisons à colombages historiques de Worbis sont des destinations intéressantes qui méritent une visite.
