Auf der einstigen Bahnstrecke zwischen Schleiz und Saalburg entstand 2010 ein perfekt asphaltierter Radweg. Und dieser Radweg ist anders. Die Kurven sind nie zu eng und die Strecke ist dammartig befestigt. Wie auf einer Aussichtsplattform schwebt man durch Wiesen und Wälder. Herrliche Ausblicke gestatten eine einmalige Sicht auf die fjordähnliche Landschaft des im Tal gelegenen Thüriger Meeres. Der Oberlandradweg beginnt an der Roten Brücke in Schleiz und endet mit einer spektakulären Aussicht über Deutschlands größten Stausee in Saalburg. Der Radweg eignet sich für zahlreiche Aktivitäten. Er lädt zum Wandern, Joggen, Inline-Skaten oder Walking ein. Der Oberlandradweg ist ein Teil des Euregio-Egrensis-Radfernweges von Bayern über Thüringen und Sachsen nach Böhmen. Einer der reizvollsten und abwechslungsreichsten Flussradwege in Deutschland, der Saale-Radweg, kann ab dem Abzweig Burgk saaleabwärts bzw. in Richtung Saalburg ebenfalls befahren werden.

On the former railway line between Schleiz and Saalburg, a perfectly asphalted bike path was created in 2010. And this bike path is different. The curves are never too tight and the route is dam-like reinforced. Like on a viewing platform, you float through meadows and forests. Magnificent views allow a unique sight of the fjord-like landscape of the Thuringian Sea located in the valley. The Oberland bike route starts at the Red Bridge in Schleiz and ends with a spectacular view over Germany's largest reservoir in Saalburg. The bike path is suitable for numerous activities. It invites hiking, jogging, inline skating or walking. The Oberland bike route is a part of the Euregio-Egrensis long-distance cycle route from Bavaria via Thuringia and Saxony to Bohemia. One of the most scenic and varied river bike routes in Germany, the Saale bike path, can also be ridden from the Burgk Saale junction downriver or towards Saalburg.

Sur l'ancienne ligne de chemin de fer entre Schleiz et Saalburg, un parcours parfaitement asphalté a été créé en 2010. Et ce parcours est différent. Les virages ne sont jamais trop serrés et la piste est aménagée en digue. Comme sur une plateforme d'observation, on survole prairies et forêts. De superbes vues offrent un panorama unique sur le paysage en forme de fjord de la mer de Thuringe située dans la vallée. Le Oberlandradweg commence au pont rouge à Schleiz et se termine par une vue spectaculaire sur le plus grand barrage d'Allemagne à Saalburg. Ce parcours est adapté à de nombreuses activités. Il invite à la randonnée, au jogging, au roller en ligne ou à la marche rapide. Le Oberlandradweg fait partie du parcours cyclable longue distance Euregio-Egrensis qui va de Bavière à travers la Thuringe et la Saxe jusqu'en Bohême. L'une des pistes cyclables fluviales les plus attrayantes et variées d'Allemagne, la Saale-Radweg, peut aussi être parcourue à partir de la bifurcation Burgk vers le bas Saale ou en direction de Saalburg.
