With a size of approx. 50 hectares, the Rotes Moor is the second largest moor in the Rhön Biosphere Reserve. Peat was extracted here until 1984. A wooden plank path leads through the Rote Moor, the entire circular route is approx. 3 km long. Numerous display boards inform the visitor about interesting facts about this extraordinary ecosystem.
