Die Tour führt vom Schloss Ehrenstein entlang der Ohra und dem Mühlgraben zu interessanten und artenreichen Biotopen. Zu allen Jahreszeiten ist eine vielfältige Pflanzen- und Tierwelt zu bestaunen. Besonders eindrucksvoll ist im Frühjahr die Blüte der Buschwindröschen in den Fürstenbüschen oder um den Rasenteich. An den Ufern der Ohra gibt es immer viel zu entdecken. Das gilt auch für den Bereich rund um den Rasenteich. Wasseramseln und bisweilen auch Eisvögel sind anzutreffen. Der Rasenteich ist nicht nur ein Angelparadies, sondern auch ein Brut- und Jagdrevier für verschiedene Wasservögel. Der abschnittsweise neben dem Weg entlangfließende Mühlgraben ist die einstige Energieader für die frühe Industriealisierung der Stadt. Das technische Denkmal Tobiashammer ist ein vollständig funktionsfähiges Hammerwerk aus dieser frühen Zeit.

The mill channel flowing alongside the path in sections was once the power artery for the early industrialization of the town. The technical monument Tobiashammer is a fully functional hammer mill from this early period.
