Doch das Unglück förderte auch erstaunliches zu Tage: im Südflügel wurde ein bis dahin verbauter Renaissancesaal, sowie <strong>originale Renaissancebemalungen</strong> an der Schlossfassade entdeckt.</p><p>Den Wiederaufbau nach dem Brand darf man getrost als den <strong>Aufstieg des Phönix aus der Asche</strong> bezeichnen, denn nach der Neueröffnung am 08.06.2022 erstrahlt das Schloss in neuer Opulenz – noch besser, es ist heute Dreh- und Angelpunkt unter Ohrdrufs touristischen Angeboten. Neben der modernen <strong>Tourist-Information</strong> und <strong>Bibliothek</strong> enthält es <strong>vier Ausstellungsbereiche</strong>: Ein als Multimediapräsentation gestalteter Kubus Magicus gibt inspirativ Aufschluss über Stadt- und Schlossgeschichte. Ein weiterer Bereich klärt über die Industrie- und Spielzeuggeschichte des Ortes auf, während Johann Sebastian Bach - in Ohrdruf tief verwurzelt - eine eigene Präsentation gewidmet ist. <p>Today, no one hesitates to rank Ohrdruf's Ehrenstein Castle among the <strong>most beautiful Renaissance castles </strong>in Central Germany. The ornamental gables, oriels and archways designed according to Italian models are too captivating, and its <strong>splendid façade</strong> shines too brightly and freshly to the visitor. However, fate has not always been kind to the two-story, four-wing building, which, after its construction between 1550 and 1590, had to put up with many changes of ownership and use, as well as severe damage to its substance. Saved from decay by extensive renovation work after 1990, large parts of the building, as well as valuable collections, were <strong>almost completely destroyed by a devastating fire on 26.11.2013</strong> - just before the completion of the last renovation phase. However, the disaster also brought to light some astonishing things: in the south wing, a Renaissance hall that had previously been blocked, as well as <strong>original Renaissance paintings</strong> on the palace facade were discovered.</p><p>The reconstruction after the fire can be confidently called the <strong>rise of the phoenix from the ashes</strong>, because after the reopening on 08.06.2022 the castle shines in new opulence - even better, it is now the linchpin among Ohrdruf's tourist attractions. Besides the modern <strong>tourist information</strong> and <strong>library</strong>, it contains <strong>four exhibition areas</strong>: A Kubus Magicus, designed as a multimedia presentation, provides inspirational information about the history of the town and the castle. Another area provides information about the industrial and toy history of the town, while Johann Sebastian Bach - who has deep roots in Ohrdruf - has his own presentation. <p>Personne n'hésite aujourd'hui à classer le château d'Ehrenstein d'Ohrdruf parmi les <strong>plus beaux châteaux Renaissance d </strong>'Allemagne centrale, tant les pignons décoratifs, les encorbellements et les arcs de porte conçus sur le modèle italien sont séduisants et tant sa <strong>magnifique façade</strong> rayonne de fraîcheur pour le visiteur. Pourtant, le destin n'a pas toujours été clément avec cet ensemble de deux étages et quatre ailes qui, après sa construction entre 1550 et 1590, a dû faire face à de nombreux changements de propriétaire et d'utilisation ainsi qu'à de graves dommages matériels. Sauvés de la ruine par d'importants travaux de rénovation après 1990, de grandes parties du bâtiment ainsi que de précieuses collections ont été <strong>presque entièrement détruites par un incendie dévastateur le 26 novembre 2013</strong>, juste avant la fin de la dernière phase de rénovation. Mais la catastrophe a aussi révélé des choses étonnantes : dans l'aile sud, on a découvert une salle Renaissance jusqu'alors obstruée, ainsi que <strong>des peintures Renaissance originales</strong> sur la façade du château.</p><p>La reconstruction après l'incendie peut être décrite comme la renaissance <strong>du phénix de ses cendres</strong>, car après sa réouverture le 8 juin 2022, le château brille d'une nouvelle opulence - mieux encore, il est aujourd'hui le pivot de l'offre touristique d'Ohrdruf. Outre l'<strong>office de tourisme</strong> moderne et <strong>la bibliothèque</strong>, il comprend <strong>quatre espaces d'exposition</strong>: Un cube Magicus, conçu comme une présentation multimédia, donne des informations inspirantes sur l'histoire de la ville et du château. Un autre espace renseigne sur l'histoire de l'industrie et des jouets du lieu, tandis qu'une présentation spéciale est consacrée à Johann Sebastian Bach, profondément enraciné à Ohrdruf.
