At the Wogau bus stop, just behind the Deutsche Eiche guesthouse, a signpost marks the start of the route. First, it is necessary to gain elevation to reach the Jenzig ridge. Along the way, there are repeatedly beautiful views into the Gembden valley and the town, as well as of the opposite Fuchsturm. At the meadow with several seating areas, the hiking trail turns toward Kunitzburg. However, it is worth taking a detour to the 200 m distant Jenzig viewpoint, which offers a magnificent view over Jena and the Saale valley. Through a beech forest and past orchards, the path goes on the north side of Jenzig into the charming village of Laasan and finally to Kunitzburg. At the ruin, you can once again enjoy the long-distance view into the Saale valley before the path leads down in switchbacks along the vineyard to Kunitz.

À l'arrêt de bus Wogau, juste derrière l'auberge Deutsche Eiche, un panneau indique le début du parcours. Il faut d'abord gagner de l'altitude pour atteindre la crête de Jenzig. De très beaux points de vue s'offrent régulièrement sur la vallée de Gembden et la ville ainsi que sur la tour Fuchsturm en face. À la prairie avec plusieurs bancs, le sentier bifurque en direction de Kunitzburg. Avant cela, une halte vaut le détour à la plateforme d'observation du Jenzig située à 200 m, qui offre un panorama grandiose sur Jena et la vallée de la Saale. Par une hêtraie et en passant devant des vergers, le chemin traverse le coté nord du Jenzig, passe par le charmant village de Laasan et mène enfin au château de Kunitzburg. Depuis les ruines, on peut encore une fois profiter d'une vue lointaine sur la vallée de la Saale, avant que le chemin ne descende en serpentines le long du vignoble jusqu'à Kunitz.

An der Bushaltestelle Wogau, kurz hinter dem Gasthof Deutsche Eiche, zeigt ein Wegweiser den Beginn der Tour an. Zunächst gilt es, Höhenmeter zu bewältigen, um auf den Jenzigrücken zu gelangen. Immer wieder ergeben sich dabei schöne Aussichten ins Gembdental und zur Stadt sowie auf den gegenüber liegenden Fuchsturm. An der Wiese mit einigen Sitzgruppen biegt der Wanderweg in Richtung Gleisburg ab. Vorher lohnt sich jedoch ein Abstecher zur 200 m entfernten Aussichtsplattform des Jenzigs, die einen grandiosen Blick über Jena und das Saaletal bietet. Durch einen Buchenwald und vorbei an Streuobstwiesen geht es auf der Nordseite des Jenzigs in das schmucke Dorf Laasan und schließlich bis zur Gleisburg. An der Ruine lässt sich noch einmal der Fernblick ins Saaletal genießen, bevor der Weg über Serpentinen und am Weinberg entlang hinunter nach Kunitz führt.

Sie wandern stetig bergan, der Weg ist gesäumt von Feldhecken. Dabei schweift der Blick vom Dorlberg über Wogau, Jenaprießnitz bis zum Fuchsturm. Weiter geht es vorbei an Streuobstwiesen, dann rechts auf einen von Bäumen überschirmten Weg bergauf Richtung Jenzigrücken, welcher später in einen Hohlweg mündet. Auf dem Plateau biegt der Wanderweg nach links ab. Ein Forstweg führt durch Mischwald, gelegentlich ergeben sich tolle Ausblicke auf Jenaprießnitz und den Fuchsturm. Folgen Sie an den Wegegabelungen der Ausschilderung Richtung Jenzigrücken/ Jenzig. Blicke schweifen über Wogau, den Hausberg, das Saaletal und die Jenzigspitze. An der Wiese mit Rastmöglichkeiten zum Picknicken biegt der Wanderweg nach rechts zur Nordseite des Jenzigs ab. Wer sich im Restaurant stärken möchte, geht vor der Abbiegung ein kurzes Stück geradeaus und kehrt im Berggasthof Jenzig ein. Von der Nordseite haben Sie Ausblick auf Jena Ost, Jena Nord und Zwätzen – mit etwas Glück startet sogar ein Gleitschirmflieger nehmen Ihnen. Ein Pfad führt nun in Serpentinen bergab; an der Weggabelung folgen Sie der Ausschilderung Richtung Laasan/ Kunitzburg. Am Abzweig biegen Sie rechts ab – es geht kurz bergan, anschließend laufen Sie durch hallenartigen Buchenbestand. Nach einer Linksabbiegung öffnet sich der Wald und eine Streuobstwiese mit Hütte kommt zum Vorschein. Folgen Sie der Markierung nach rechts und Sie gelangen erneut in einen von Buchen dominierten Laubwald. Dann taucht zwischen den Hügeln das Dorf Laasan auf. An der Weggabelung biegen Sie nach links, vorbei an Wiesen, bergab Richtung Laasan. In Laasan folgen Sie der Ausschilderung Richtung Gleisburg/ Golmsdorf und verlassen das Dorf über die Fahrstraße, welcher Sie ca. 400 m folgen bis ein Schild nach rechts Richtung Gleisburg weist. Der Wanderweg verläuft stetig bergan und ist gesäumt von Feldern. Es geht vorbei an Hecken und Streuobstwiesen mit Blick auf Laasan, Kunitz und Teile Jenas. Muschelkalkfelsen säumen den Weg durch Mischwald. Am Wegweiser verlassen Sie die SaaleHorizontale und biegen nach links Richtung Gleisburg/ Kunitz auf den roten Wanderweg (roter Balken auf weißem Spiegel). Es geht vorbei an der Kunitzburgbaude, wer möchte kann einen lohnenden Abstecher rechts zur Gleisburgruine aus dem 12. Jahrhundert machen und hat eine tolle Aussicht auf das Saaletal. Der rote Wanderweg schlängelt sich folgend in Serpentinen durch Laubwald bergab – Sie werden mit Aussichten auf Kunitz, Jena sowie den Kunitzer Weinberg Grafenberg belohnt. An letzterem wandern Sie kurz vor den Toren von Kunitz vorbei. Dann geht es über den Kunitzburgweg am Wegweiser nach links und Sie gelangen in 50 m zur Bushaltestelle bzw. in 200 m zum Wanderparkplatz.

Ceux qui souhaitent se restaurer au restaurant peuvent continuer tout droit un peu avant la bifurcation et s'arrêter à l'auberge de montagne Jenzig. Du côté nord, vous avez une vue sur Jena Est, Jena Nord et Zwätzen — avec un peu de chance, vous pourrez observer un parapentiste décoller. Un sentier descend en serpentines; au croisement, suivez le panneau en direction de Laasan/ Kunitzburg. Suivez la marque vers la droite et vous entrez à nouveau dans une forêt de feuillus dominée par des hêtres. Entre les collines apparaît le village de Laasan. Au croisement, tournez à gauche, passez par des prairies et descendez vers Laasan. À Laasan, suivez les panneaux vers Kunitzburg/ Golmsdorf et quittez le village par la route que vous suivez sur environ 400 m jusqu'à un panneau qui indique de tourner à droite vers Kunitzburg. Le sentier monte constamment et est bordé de champs. Vous passez devant des haies et des vergers avec vue sur Laasan, Kunitz et des parties de Jena. Des rochers de calcaire fossilifère bordent le chemin à travers la forêt mixte. Au panneau, laissez la SaaleHorizontale et tournez à gauche vers Kunitzburg/ Kunitz sur le sentier rouge (bande rouge sur fond blanc). Vous passez devant la cabane de Kunitzburg, et ceux qui le souhaitent peuvent faire un détour à droite vers la ruine du château de Kunitz datant du XIIe siècle pour une superbe vue sur la vallée de la Saale. You hike steadily uphill, the path lined by hedgerows. The view extends from Dorlberg over Wogau, Jenaprießnitz to the Fuchsturm. Continue past orchards, then right onto a tree-shaded path uphill to the Jenzig ridge, which later leads into a hollow way. On the plateau, the hiking trail turns left. A forest track leads through mixed forest, with occasional great views of Jenaprießnitz and the Fuchsturm. At junctions follow the signs direction Jenzig ridge/Jenzig. Views extend over Wogau, the local mountain, the Saale valley, and the Jenzig peak. At the meadow with picnic facilities, the trail turns right to the north side of Jenzig. Those wanting to refresh at the restaurant can go a short way straight ahead before the turn and stop at the Berggasthaus Jenzig. From the north side there is a view over Jena East, Jena North, and Zwätzen – with some luck you might even see a paragliding pilot take off. A path now leads down in switchbacks; at the fork follow the signpost towards Laasan/Kunitzburg. At the turnoff turn right – the path goes briefly uphill, then you walk through a cathedral-like beech forest. After a left turn the forest opens up and an orchard with a hut appears. Follow the marker right and you enter a beech-dominated deciduous forest again. Then the village of Laasan appears between the hills. At the junction turn left, past meadows, downhill towards Laasan. In Laasan follow the signs towards Kunitzburg/Golmsdorf and leave the village along the road, which you follow for approx. 400 m until a sign points right to Kunitzburg. The hiking trail steadily gains height and is lined by fields. It goes past hedges and orchards with views of Laasan, Kunitz and parts of Jena. Muschelkalk limestone rocks line the path through mixed forest. At the signpost, leave the SaaleHorizontale and turn left towards Kunitzburg/Kunitz on the red hiking trail (red bar on white background). It passes the Kunitzburg lodge; if you wish you can take a rewarding detour right to the 12th century Kunitz castle ruins and enjoy great views of the Saale valley. The red hiking trail then snakes down in switchbacks through deciduous forest – you will be rewarded with views of Kunitz, Jena and the Kunitz vineyard Grafenberg. You pass close to the gates of Kunitz there. Then it goes left at the signpost along Kunitzburgweg and in 50 m you reach the bus stop or in 200 m a hiking car park.</p>

Au croisement, tournez à droite — la montée est courte, puis vous marchez à travers une hêtraie majestueuse. Après un virage à gauche, la forêt s'ouvre, laissant apparaître une prairie avec cabane. Suivez la marque vers la droite et vous entrez à nouveau dans une forêt de feuillus dominée par des hêtres. Entre les collines apparaît le village de Laasan. Au croisement, tournez à gauche, passez par des prairies et descendez vers Laasan. À Laasan, suivez les panneaux vers Kunitzburg/ Golmsdorf et quittez le village par la route que vous suivez sur environ 400 m jusqu'à un panneau qui indique de tourner à droite vers Kunitzburg. Le sentier monte constamment et est bordé de champs. Vous passez devant des haies et des vergers avec vue sur Laasan, Kunitz et des parties de Jena. Des rochers de calcaire fossilifère bordent le chemin à travers la forêt mixte. Au panneau, laissez la SaaleHorizontale et tournez à gauche vers Kunitzburg/ Kunitz sur le sentier rouge (bande rouge sur fond blanc). Vous passez devant la cabane de Kunitzburg, et ceux qui le souhaitent peuvent faire un détour à droite vers la ruine du château de Kunitz datant du XIIe siècle pour une superbe vue sur la vallée de la Saale. Le sentier rouge descend en serpentines à travers la forêt de feuillus — vous serez récompensés par des vues sur Kunitz, Jena et le vignoble de Kunitz Grafenberg. Vous passez à proximité de ce dernier juste avant d'entrer dans Kunitz. Ensuite, prenez le chemin de Kunitzburg à gauche au panneau et vous arrivez en 50 m à l'arrêt de bus ou en 200 m au parking de la randonnée.

Walk about 500 m further out of town along the federal road until you turn left behind the guesthouse Deutsche Eiche at the signpost towards the Jenzig ridge/Jenzig. You hike steadily uphill, the path lined by hedgerows. The view extends from Dorlberg over Wogau, Jenaprießnitz to the Fuchsturm. Continue past orchards, then right onto a tree-shaded path uphill to the Jenzig ridge, which later leads into a hollow way. On the plateau, the hiking trail turns left. A forest track leads through mixed forest, with occasional great views of Jenaprießnitz and the Fuchsturm. At junctions follow the signs direction Jenzig ridge/Jenzig. Views extend over Wogau, the local mountain, the Saale valley, and the Jenzig peak. At the meadow with picnic facilities, the trail turns right to the north side of Jenzig. Those wanting to refresh at the restaurant can go a short way straight ahead before the turn and stop at the Berggasthaus Jenzig. From the north side there is a view over Jena East, Jena North, and Zwätzen – with some luck you might even see a paragliding pilot take off. A path now leads down in switchbacks; at the fork follow the signpost towards Laasan/Kunitzburg. At the turnoff turn right – the path goes briefly uphill, then you walk through a cathedral-like beech forest. After a left turn the forest opens up and an orchard with a hut appears. Follow the marker right and you enter a beech-dominated deciduous forest again. Then the village of Laasan appears between the hills. At the junction turn left, past meadows, downhill towards Laasan. In Laasan follow the signs towards Kunitzburg/Golmsdorf and leave the village along the road, which you follow for approx. 400 m until a sign points right to Kunitzburg. The hiking trail steadily gains height and is lined by fields. It goes past hedges and orchards with views of Laasan, Kunitz and parts of Jena. Muschelkalk limestone rocks line the path through mixed forest. At the signpost, leave the SaaleHorizontale and turn left towards Kunitzburg/Kunitz on the red hiking trail (red bar on white background). It passes the Kunitzburg lodge; if you wish you can take a rewarding detour right to the 12th century Kunitz castle ruins and enjoy great views of the Saale valley. The red hiking trail then snakes down in switchbacks through deciduous forest – you will be rewarded with views of Kunitz, Jena and the Kunitz vineyard Grafenberg. You pass close to the gates of Kunitz there. Then it goes left at the signpost along Kunitzburgweg and in 50 m you reach the bus stop or in 200 m a hiking car park.
