Avec la construction de la piste de bobsleigh sur le versant nord du Lindenberg en 1926, une cabane de club du club de bobsleigh d'Ilmenau, la Bobhütte, fut créée sur le plateau de la montagne. Elle servait à réchauffer les sportifs et à leur fournir des repas. Elle a évolué en auberge de montagne.
Du 22 au 23 mai 1934, elle brûla. Un chalet en bois fut d'abord construit, qui fut agrandi à la fin des années 1950 par un bâtiment en dur.
Au début de 1997, la Bobhütte et son environnement furent redessinés. D'autres modifications, telles que la construction d'une terrasse, ont eu lieu en 2018/19. |

With the construction of the Bobbahn on the northern slope of the Lindenberg in 1926, a club cabin of the Ilmenau Bob Club, the Bobhütte, was simultaneously built on the mountain plateau. It served to warm the athletes and to supply them. This developed into a mountain inn.
From May 22 to 23, 1934, it burned down. Initially, a log cabin was rebuilt, which was expanded by a solid building at the end of the 1950s.
