Der Thüringer Klimaweg in Geraberg wurde im Rahmen eines touristischen Förderprogrammes des Freistaates Thüringen geschaffen. Sein Aufbau erfolgte mit freundlicher Unterstützung des Deutschen Wetterdienstes, sowie vieler Thüringer Betriebe, Institute und Privatpersonen. Eingebunden in die Natur des Geratales bei Geraberg kann man bei der Bewanderung des Klimaweges auf unterschiedlichen Höhenniveaus, sowohl im kühlen Talgrund, aber auch auf freiem Höhenweg das Mikroklima der örtlichen Begebenheiten selbst erspüren. Gleichzeitig erklärt er wissenschaftlich fundiert, aber auch verständlich, Naturphänomene rund um das Wetter und das Klima. Viel Spaß beim Erwandern, Erleben, Erholen, Staunen und Lernen wünschen Ihnen die Gemeinde Geratal, die Ortschaft Geraberg und alle Beteiligten, die an der Erstellung und Pflege des Weges Ihren Anteil haben.

Le sentier climatique de Thuringe à Geraberg a été créé dans le cadre d’un programme de promotion touristique de l’État libre de Thuringe. Sa réalisation a bénéficié du soutien amical du Service météorologique allemand ainsi que de nombreuses entreprises, instituts et particuliers de Thuringe. Intégré à la nature de la vallée de Gera près de Geraberg, on peut, en parcourant le sentier climatique à différents niveaux d’altitude, sentir soi-même le microclimat des lieux, que ce soit dans le fond de vallée frais ou sur le chemin en altitude libre. En même temps, il explique de façon scientifique mais compréhensible les phénomènes naturels liés à la météo et au climat. Nous vous souhaitons beaucoup de plaisir à explorer, découvrir, vous détendre, vous émerveiller et apprendre. La commune de Geratal, le village de Geraberg et tous les participants impliqués dans la création et l’entretien du sentier vous adressent leurs meilleurs vœux.

The Thuringian Climate Trail in Geraberg was created as part of a tourism promotion program of the Free State of Thuringia. Its development was kindly supported by the German Weather Service as well as many Thuringian companies, institutes, and private individuals. Embedded in the nature of the Geratal near Geraberg, when hiking the Climate Trail at different altitudes, both in the cool valley floor and on the open high path, you can experience the microclimate of the local conditions yourself. At the same time, it explains natural phenomena related to weather and climate in a scientifically grounded but also understandable way. The municipality of Geratal, the village of Geraberg, and all involved parties who contributed to the creation and maintenance of the trail wish you much fun exploring, experiencing, relaxing, marveling, and learning.

Deren Inhalte verdeutlichen dem Wanderer bekannte, aber auch komplizierte Wettererscheinungen, allgemeine Fakten zum Klima sowie Auswirkungen bestimmter Wettererscheinungen aus Thüringen. Auf der Wanderstrecke findet der Klimaweg-Besucher flache, aber auch steile Wegabschnitte vor. Oberhalb des Geraberger Thermometerturmes (zwischen Tankstelle und Sportplatz) am sogenannten „Schwedenhüttchen“ befindet sich ein steiler Aufstieg. Das mühsame Aufwärtswandern wird jedoch mit schönen Ausblicken ins Geratal (Richtung Autobahnbrücke A71 und Kammerlöcher) belohnt. Ebenso kann man hier erleben, wie sich auf unterschiedliche Höhen auch ein unterschiedlicher Luftdruck auf uns Menschen wie auch die Natur auswirkt. Möchte man diesen Anstieg vermeiden, kann man über eine Art Verlängerungsstrecke, vorbei am Mühlencafé und durch das Steintal zum oberen Punkt des Klimaweges laufen. Hier findet man einen relativ flachen Anstieg vor, der sich auch für Besucher mit Gehbehinderung eignet. Oberhalb des Technisches Denkmales „Braunsteinwerk/Pochwerk“ mit seinem Café befindet sich auch der Geraberger Braunsteinweg, wobei man über den oberen Geratalgrund auch Gehlberg und dann im Weiteren den Schneekopf in ca. 1,5 Stunden erwandern kann. Oberhalb des „Schwedenhüttchens“ kann man eine noch steilere Variante wählen, die über die obere Kieferleite dann zurück zum „Goethefelsen“ führt. Interessierte können noch zur „Hohen Warte“ laufen, um vom Turm aus einen beeindruckenden Blick in Richtung Erfurt, aber auch auf den vorliegenden Kamm des Thüringer Waldes (bei guter Sicht) bis hin zum Inselsberg zu haben. Am südöstlichen Eckpunkt des Klimaweges befindet sich der sogenannte „Goethefelsen“ in einem relativ kühlem Grund. Goethe verweilte am Ende seines Lebens noch einmal an dieser Stelle. Bei heißem Wetter ist dieser Ort für eine Rast gut geeignet. Bei regnerischem Wetter findet man auf halber Strecke zwischen „Goethefelsen“ und dem Thermometermuseum auf der „Stocken-Höhe“ (ehemaliger Wasserturm) ein Hütte zum Unterstellen mit Rundum-Ausblick. Von hier aus hat man einen schönen Ausblick auf die „Elgersburg“. Durch die verschiedenen Wegvarianten sind unterschiedlich lange Wegwanderungen möglich. Anschlüsse des Klimaweges zu anderen Wanderwegen bestehen über Bahnhof Geraberg-Martinroda zum sogenannten „Bachweg“, über Elgersburg – das Moortal und Ilmenau-Roda zum sogenannten „Goethe-Wanderweg“. Im Weiteren ist festzustellen, dass der „Geraer Radweg“ den Klimaweg tangiert. Der Einstieg in den Klimaweg ist an mehreren Stellen möglich. Es bieten sich an verschiedenen Stellen kleinere und größere Parkplätze an. Den größten Parkplatz findet man in der Ortsmitte an der „Geratalhalle“. Von hier aus sind es ca. 300 m zum ersten Eckpunkt des Klimaweges (dem Stocken). Für Anreisende mit Bahn wurde ein Zubringerweg vom Geraberger Bahnhof eingerichtet. Er führt zunächst zum „Deutschen Thermometermuseum“ hinter der Barockkirche entlang. Von hier aus geht es dann ein Stück des „Geraer Radweges“ zum Stocken, wo dann ein Einstieg in den Klimaweg möglich ist. Ein weiterer Einstieg in den Klimaweg kann der Parkplatz am „Sportpark Geratal“ sein. Hier kann man sich gleich den „Geraberger Thermometerturm“ ansehen und befindet sich direkt neben dem historischen Gelände des ehemaligen Thermometerwerk Geraberg (TWG). Hierfür war Geraberg viele Jahre in aller Welt bekannt. thuecat:directions @fr Le sentier climatique, protégé en tant que marque et indiqué sur les cartes de randonnée par un « K » selon les directives des autorités cartographiques, est conçu comme un sentier didactique avec plus de 20 panneaux d'information. Leur contenu explique au randonneur des phénomènes météorologiques connus mais aussi complexes, des faits généraux sur le climat ainsi que les impacts de certains phénomènes météorologiques en Thuringe. Sur le parcours de randonnée, le visiteur du sentier climatique trouve des sections plates mais aussi des montées raides. Au-dessus de la tour thermomètre de Geraberg (entre la station-service et le terrain de sport), au lieu dit « Schwedenhüttchen », se trouve une montée raide. L’ascension difficile est cependant récompensée par de belles vues sur la vallée de Gera (en direction du pont autoroutier A71 et des Kammerlöcher). On peut également y observer comment une pression atmosphérique différente à différentes altitudes influence à la fois les humains et la nature. Si l’on souhaite éviter cette montée, il est possible de passer par un prolongement du parcours, en passant devant le café du moulin et par la vallée de pierre jusqu’au point supérieur du sentier climatique. Ici, on trouve une montée relativement douce, adaptée aussi aux visiteurs à mobilité réduite. Au-dessus du monument technique « Braunsteinwerk/Pochwerk » avec son café se trouve aussi le sentier Braunstein de Geraberg, qui permet, en empruntant le haut de la vallée de Gera, de rejoindre Gehlberg puis plus loin le Schneekopf en environ 1,5 heure de marche. Au-dessus du « Schwedenhüttchen », il est aussi possible de choisir une variante encore plus raide qui mène par la « obere Kieferleite » jusqu’au « Goethefelsen ». Les intéressés peuvent aussi se rendre jusqu’à la « Hohe Warte » pour profiter depuis la tour d’une vue impressionnante en direction d’Erfurt, mais aussi sur la crête du massif de la Forêt de Thuringe (par temps clair) jusqu’à l’Inselsberg. Au point sud-est du sentier climatique se trouve le « Goethefelsen », dans une vallée relativement fraîche. Goethe s’est arrêté à cet endroit une dernière fois à la fin de sa vie. Par temps chaud, ce lieu est idéal pour une pause. Par temps pluvieux, on trouve à mi-chemin entre le « Goethefelsen » et le musée du thermomètre, sur la « Stocken-Höhe » (ancienne tour d’eau), une cabane où se protéger avec une vue panoramique. De là, on a une belle vue sur l’« Elgersburg ». Grâce aux différentes variantes, des randonnées de longueurs variées sont possibles. Le sentier climatique est relié à d’autres sentiers de randonnée via la gare de Geraberg-Martinroda vers le « Bachweg », via Elgersburg – la tourbière et Ilmenau-Roda vers le « Goethe-Wanderweg ». Par ailleurs, il est à noter que le sentier cyclable de Gera traverse le sentier climatique. L’accès au sentier climatique se fait à plusieurs endroits. À différents lieux, des petits et grands parkings sont proposés. Le plus grand parking se trouve au centre du village, près de la « Geratalhalle ». Depuis cet endroit, il faut environ 300 m pour atteindre le premier point du sentier climatique (« Stocken »). Pour les visiteurs arrivant en train, un chemin d’accès a été aménagé depuis la gare de Geraberg. Il mène d’abord vers le « Deutsches Thermometermuseum » derrière l’église baroque. Above the Geraberg Thermometer Tower (between the gas station and the sports field) at the so-called "Swedish Hut" there is a steep ascent. The strenuous uphill hike is rewarded with beautiful views into the Geratal Valley (toward the A71 freeway bridge and Kammerlöcher). Here, you can also experience how different air pressure at various altitudes affects humans as well as nature. If you want to avoid this ascent, you can take a kind of extension route past the Mill Café and through the Steintal to the upper point of the Climate Trail. Here you will find a relatively gentle ascent, also suitable for visitors with mobility impairments. Above the technical monument "Braunsteinwerk/Pochwerk" with its café is also the Geraberg Braunstein Trail, from which you can hike via the upper Geratal valley floor to Gehlberg and then further to Schneekopf in about 1.5 hours. Connections from the Climate Trail to other hiking trails exist via Geraberg-Martinroda train station to the so-called "Stream Trail," via Elgersburg – the Moortal, and Ilmenau-Roda to the so-called "Goethe Hiking Trail." Furthermore, it is noted that the "Gera Cycling Trail" intersects the Climate Trail. Entry to the Climate Trail is possible at several points. Above the technical monument "Braunsteinwerk/Pochwerk" with its café is also the Geraberg Braunstein Trail, from which you can hike via the upper Geratal valley floor to Gehlberg and then further to Schneekopf in about 1.5 hours.</p> <p>Above the "Swedish Hut", you can choose an even steeper variant that leads back to the "Goethe Rock" via the upper Kieferleite. Interested visitors can also hike to the "Hohe Warte" to enjoy an impressive view from the tower towards Erfurt and on the nearby ridge of the Thuringian Forest (in good visibility) all the way to Inselsberg.</p> <p>At the southeastern corner of the Climate Trail is the so-called "Goethe Rock" in a relatively cool valley. Goethe spent the end of his life again at this spot. During hot weather, this place is well suited for a break. During rainy weather, there is a shelter with panoramic views halfway between the "Goethe Rock" and the Thermometer Museum on the "Stocken Height" (former water tower). From here you get a nice view of the "Elgersburg".</p> <p>Different route variants allow for hikes of varying lengths.</p> <p>Connections from the Climate Trail to other hiking trails exist via Geraberg-Martinroda train station to the so-called "Stream Trail," via Elgersburg – the Moortal, and Ilmenau-Roda to the so-called "Goethe Hiking Trail." Furthermore, it is noted that the "Gera Cycling Trail" intersects the Climate Trail.</p> <p>Entry to the Climate Trail is possible at several points. Smaller and larger parking lots are available at various locations. The largest parking lot is in the town center at the "Geratalhalle." From here it is about 300 m to the first corner point of the Climate Trail (the Stocken).</p> <p>A feeder path has been established from Geraberg train station for those arriving by train. It initially leads past the "German Thermometer Museum" behind the Baroque church. From here, you then follow part of the "Gera Cycling Trail" to the Stocken, where entry to the Climate Trail is possible.</p> <p>Another entry point to the Climate Trail can be the parking lot at the "Geratal Sports Park." Here, you can immediately view the "Geraberg Thermometer Tower" and are located right next to the historic grounds of the former Geraberg Thermometer Factory (TWG). Leur contenu explique au randonneur des phénomènes météorologiques connus mais aussi complexes, des faits généraux sur le climat ainsi que les impacts de certains phénomènes météorologiques en Thuringe.</p> <p>Sur le parcours de randonnée, le visiteur du sentier climatique trouve des sections plates mais aussi des montées raides. Au-dessus de la tour thermomètre de Geraberg (entre la station-service et le terrain de sport), au lieu dit « Schwedenhüttchen », se trouve une montée raide. L’ascension difficile est cependant récompensée par de belles vues sur la vallée de Gera (en direction du pont autoroutier A71 et des Kammerlöcher). On peut également y observer comment une pression atmosphérique différente à différentes altitudes influence à la fois les humains et la nature.</p> <p>Si l’on souhaite éviter cette montée, il est possible de passer par un prolongement du parcours, en passant devant le café du moulin et par la vallée de pierre jusqu’au point supérieur du sentier climatique. Ici, on trouve une montée relativement douce, adaptée aussi aux visiteurs à mobilité réduite. Au-dessus du monument technique « Braunsteinwerk/Pochwerk » avec son café se trouve aussi le sentier Braunstein de Geraberg, qui permet, en empruntant le haut de la vallée de Gera, de rejoindre Gehlberg puis plus loin le Schneekopf en environ 1,5 heure de marche.</p> <p>Au-dessus du « Schwedenhüttchen », il est aussi possible de choisir une variante encore plus raide qui mène par la « obere Kieferleite » jusqu’au « Goethefelsen ». Les intéressés peuvent aussi se rendre jusqu’à la « Hohe Warte » pour profiter depuis la tour d’une vue impressionnante en direction d’Erfurt, mais aussi sur la crête du massif de la Forêt de Thuringe (par temps clair) jusqu’à l’Inselsberg.</p> <p>Au point sud-est du sentier climatique se trouve le « Goethefelsen », dans une vallée relativement fraîche. Goethe s’est arrêté à cet endroit une dernière fois à la fin de sa vie. Par temps chaud, ce lieu est idéal pour une pause. Par temps pluvieux, on trouve à mi-chemin entre le « Goethefelsen » et le musée du thermomètre, sur la « Stocken-Höhe » (ancienne tour d’eau), une cabane où se protéger avec une vue panoramique. De là, on a une belle vue sur l’« Elgersburg ».</p> <p>Grâce aux différentes variantes, des randonnées de longueurs variées sont possibles.</p> <p>Le sentier climatique est relié à d’autres sentiers de randonnée via la gare de Geraberg-Martinroda vers le « Bachweg », via Elgersburg – la tourbière et Ilmenau-Roda vers le « Goethe-Wanderweg ». Par ailleurs, il est à noter que le sentier cyclable de Gera traverse le sentier climatique.</p> <p>L’accès au sentier climatique se fait à plusieurs endroits. À différents lieux, des petits et grands parkings sont proposés. Le plus grand parking se trouve au centre du village, près de la « Geratalhalle ». Depuis cet endroit, il faut environ 300 m pour atteindre le premier point du sentier climatique (« Stocken »).</p> <p>Pour les visiteurs arrivant en train, un chemin d’accès a été aménagé depuis la gare de Geraberg. Il mène d’abord vers le « Deutsches Thermometermuseum » derrière l’église baroque. De là, on suit un morceau du « sentier cyclable de Gera » jusqu’à Stocken, où l’on peut rejoindre le sentier climatique.</p> <p>Un autre point d’entrée du sentier climatique peut être le parking du « Sportpark Geratal ». Là, on peut directement voir la « Geraberger Thermometerturm » et on se trouve juste à côté du site historique de l’ancienne usine de thermomètres de Geraberg (TWG), pour laquelle Geraberg était connue dans le monde entier pendant de nombreuses années.</p> <p>Nous vous souhaitons beaucoup de plaisir à explorer, découvrir, vous détendre, vous émerveiller et apprendre.
