Bis zum Zentrum von Mühlhausen folgt der Pilgerweg der Unstrut. Es geht über die Ortschaften Silberhausen, Helmsdorf, Zella, Horsmar, Dachrieden, Reiser und Ammern. Überall finden sich sehenswerte Kirchen und andere historische Bauten. Direkt hinter Zella, das man nach 7 km erreicht, werden die Reste des Mühlhäuser Landgrabens (14. Jh.) überquert. Der Mühlhäuser Landgraben ist bis heute die Konfessionsgrenze zwischen dem katholischen Eichsfeld (Etappe 15) und dem evangelisch geprägten Gebiet der einstigen freien Reichsstadt Mühlhausen. Nach weiteren 9 km gelangt man nach Reiser. Mühlhausen wird nun bald von Norden her erreicht, schon weithin erkennbar an den Kirchtürmen, die die Silhouette der Stadt bis heute prägen. Dort gibt es für Pilger zahlreiche, auch günstige Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten.

Jusqu’au centre de Mühlhausen, le chemin de pèlerinage suit l’Unstrut. Il passe par les localités Silberhausen, Helmsdorf, Zella, Horsmar, Dachrieden, Reiser et Ammern. Partout, on trouve des églises remarquables et d’autres bâtiments historiques. Juste après Zella, atteinte après 7 km, on traverse les vestiges du Landgraben de Mühlhausen (XIVe siècle). Le Landgraben de Mühlhausen est encore aujourd’hui la limite confessionnelle entre l’Eichsfeld catholique (étape 15) et la région protestante influencée par l’ancienne ville impériale libre de Mühlhausen. Après 9 km supplémentaires, on arrive à Reiser. Mühlhausen est alors bientôt atteinte par le nord, reconnaissable de loin à ses clochers qui marquent encore aujourd’hui la silhouette de la ville. Il y existe pour les pèlerins de nombreuses possibilités d’hébergement, également à prix abordable.

Until the center of Mühlhausen, the pilgrim's route follows the Unstrut. It goes through the villages Silberhausen, Helmsdorf, Zella, Horsmar, Dachrieden, Reiser, and Ammern. Everywhere there are worth seeing churches and other historic buildings. Just behind Zella, which you reach after 7 km, you cross the remains of the Mühlhäuser Landgraben (14th century). The Mühlhäuser Landgraben is still the denominational boundary between the catholic Eichsfeld (stage 15) and the protestant-influenced area of the former free imperial city of Mühlhausen. After another 9 km you reach Reiser. Mühlhausen is soon reached from the north, already visible from afar by the church towers that still shape the city's silhouette today. There are numerous and also affordable accommodation options for pilgrims.
