About: Along Old Border Paths - Circular Hike Seebach - Thal (Ruhla), Le long des anciens chemins frontaliers - randonnée circulaire Seebach - Thal (Ruhla), Entlang an Alten Grenzwegen - Rundwanderung Seebach - Thal (Ruhla)

Beginn der Rundwanderung (Markierung gelber Punkt auf weißem Grund) ist am Stausee Thal, einem Ortsteil der Bergstadt Ruhla. Von hier aus führt die Wanderung über die "Alte Wartbergstraße" Richtung Seebach zum Gemeinderasen. Hier trifft man auf den "Alten Grenzweg" zwischen den ehemaligen Großherogtümern Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach und Herzogtum Sachsen Gotha. Ab hier folgt man dem Waldweg parrallel zur alten Wartbergstraße bis zum Rastplatz am Wartenberg. Entlang des Weges findet man bereits eine Vielzahl an gut erhaltenen Grenzsteinen mit der Aufschrift SWE/HSG. Nun die Bundesstraße queren, den Wiesenweg folgen bis zum Waldrand. Hier lohnt sich ein kleiner Abstecher Richtung Schmerbach zur einer Einkehr in die Köhlerhütte. Leicht bergauf geht es nun durch den Wald bis zur Frixels Ruh einer größeren Wegekreuzung. Der Weg führt nun ca. 4km über die Deubacher Höhe auf dem Kreuzweg Richtung Thal/Wutha-Farnroda. Fast am Ende des Kreuzweges hat man schließlich einen herrlichen Blick über das Hörseltal Richtung Deubach und Schönau bis hin zum Hörselberg. Hier zweigt man nun an der Waldgrenze nach links vom "Alten Grenzweg" zwischen den Herzogtümern ab. Im weiteren Verlauf der Rundwanderung läuft man nun an der Grenze zum ehemaligen Vorwerk Hucheroda. Von dort geht der Weg bergab Richtung Thal, wo man hinter der Firma GESIPA wieder auf die Grenze zwischen HSG und SWE trifft, was man auch hier entlang des Weges anhand der noch vorhandenen Grenzsteine erkennen kann. Am Waldrand und am Krebsbach entlang, folgt man dem Weg nun bis zum Eselsstieg, wo man Richtung Ortschaft Thal abzweigt. Nach ca 200 m muss man nun die Bundesstraße überqueren und sieht den Scharfenberg mit der Ruine Scharfenburg. Auch hier lohnt sich ein Abstecher zum alten Burgfried, der als Aussichtsturm genutzt wird. Von der Scharfenburg kann man nun das restliche Stück des Rundweges über die Rögispromenade zum Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung zurücklegen.

The start of the circular hike (marked with a yellow dot on a white background) is at the Thal Reservoir, a district of the mountain town of Ruhla. From here, the hike leads over the "Old Wartberg Street" towards Seebach to the community lawn. Here you encounter the "Old Border Path" between the former Grand Duchies of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach and Duchy of Saxony Gotha. From here, follow the forest path parallel to the old Wartberg Street to the rest area at Wartenberg. Along the way, you will already find a large number of well-preserved boundary stones inscribed SWE/HSG. Now cross the federal highway, follow the meadow path to the edge of the forest. Here a small detour towards Schmerbach to a refreshment stop at the charcoal hut is worthwhile. Slightly uphill it goes through the forest to Frixels Rest, a larger crossroads. The path now leads about 4 km over the Deubach Heights on the cross path towards Thal/Wutha-Farnroda. Almost at the end of the cross path you finally have a magnificent view over the Hörsel valley towards Deubach and Schönau up to the Hörselberg. Here you now turn left at the forest boundary from the "Old Border Path" between the duchies. In the further course of the circular hike, you now walk along the border to the former manor Hucheroda. From there the path goes downhill towards Thal, where behind the company GESIPA you meet again the border between HSG and SWE, which you can also recognize here along the path by the still existing boundary stones. Along the forest edge and along the Krebsbach, follow the path now to the donkey path, where you turn towards the village of Thal. After about 200 m, you have to cross the federal highway and see the Scharfenberg with the Scharfenburg ruins. Here too a detour to the old castle keep, which is used as an observation tower, is worthwhile. From Scharfenburg you can now cover the remaining section of the circular route via the Rögis promenade back to the starting point of the hike.

Le début de la randonnée circulaire (marquage point jaune sur fond blanc) se trouve au barrage de Thal, un quartier de la ville de montagne Ruhla. De là, la randonnée suit l'"Alte Wartbergstraße" en direction de Seebach jusqu'à la pelouse communale. Ici, on rencontre l'"Ancien chemin frontalier" entre les anciens Grand-duchés de Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach et du Duché de Saxe Gotha. À partir d'ici, on suit le sentier forestier parallèle à l'ancienne Wartbergstraße jusqu'à l'aire de repos au Wartenberg. Le long du chemin, on voit déjà de nombreuses pierres frontalières bien conservées avec l'inscription SWE/HSG. Traversez maintenant la route nationale, suivez le chemin de prairie jusqu'à la lisière de la forêt. Une petite excursion vers Schmerbach vaut la peine pour une halte à la cabane du charbonnier. Il monte légèrement en pente à travers la forêt jusqu'à la Frixels Ruh, une grande intersection de chemins. Le sentier continue environ 4 km sur la hauteur de Deubach sur le chemin de croix en direction de Thal/Wutha-Farnroda. Presque à la fin du chemin de croix, on a une vue magnifique sur la vallée de Hörsel en direction de Deubach et Schönau jusqu'au Hörselberg. Ici, à la lisière de la forêt, on quitte à gauche l'"Ancien chemin frontalier" entre les duchés. Plus loin dans la randonnée circulaire, on longe la frontière de l'ancien domaine Hucheroda. De là, le chemin descend vers Thal, où l'on retrouve derrière l'entreprise GESIPA la frontière entre HSG et SWE, reconnaissable ici aussi par les pierres frontalières encore existantes. En longeant la lisière de la forêt et le Krebsbach, on suit le chemin jusqu'à l'Eselsstieg, où l'on bifurque vers le village de Thal. Après environ 200 m, il faut traverser la route nationale et on voit le Scharfenberg avec la ruine de Scharfenburg. Là aussi, une excursion jusqu'à la vieille tour du château, utilisée comme belvédère, vaut la peine. Depuis la Scharfenburg, on peut maintenant parcourir le reste du circuit via la Rögispromenade jusqu'au point de départ de la randonnée.
