Eisenach is wonderfully located! This small and fine route makes you want to explore more of Eisenach, more hiking. From the city into the forest: with a few steps, you change the environment. You start at Frauenplan and on the round you encounter outstanding people from Eisenach's history: Johann Sebastian Bach, Martin Luther, the Eichel-Streiber family... You pass by the Burschenschaft monument, the cradle of the German Empire, move almost at eye level with the Wartburg, stroll through the romantic Johannisthal and the enchanting Karthausgarten, and then return via Marienstraße to Frauenplan. You will find places to eat at the Burschenschaft monument and in the city area.

Eisenach ist wunderbar gelegen! Diese kleine und feine Tour macht Lust auf mehr Eisenach, auf mehr Wandern. Aus der Stadt in den Wald:  mit wenigen Schritten wechseln Sie das Umfeld. Sie  starten am Frauenplan und begegnen auf der Runde herausragenden Personen aus Eisenachs Geschichte: Johann Sebastian Bach, Martin Luther, der Familie Eichel-Streiber... Durch den Wald gelangen Sie zum Fuße des monumentalen Burschenschaftsdenkmals an der Göpelskuppe. Die Wartburg präsentiert sich auf dem gegenüberliegenden Berg von ihrer schönsten Ansicht! Auch der Blick auf die Stadt aus der Höhe beeindruckt. Sie laufen auf dem Panoramaweg bergab und nehmen an der Böckelstraße einen Pfad nach links in Serpentinen bergab in das romantische Johannisthal. Dort laufen Sie den Kiesweg nach rechts. An dessen Ende durchschreiten Sie die Pforte rechts in den Karthausgarten. Der altehrwürdige Park mit Wandelhalle ist zu jeder Jahreszeit sehenswert! Am Ausgang des Parks zur Waisenstraße wenden Sie sich nach links, überqueren die Wartburgallee in die Barfüßerstraße und biegen nach rechts in die Marienstraße ein. At Johannisplatz, turn right into Kleine Löbergasse, then left into Löbergasse, and arrive at Karlsplatz with the Luther monument. At the bakery "Uncle Karl," climb stairs in a passageway and cross Wartburgallee. You enter the city park at Pflugensberg and walk on serpentine paths uphill to the impressive Villa Eichel-Streiber, which later served, among other things, as the bishop's and administrative seat of the Thuringian State Church. Through the forest, you reach the foot of the monumental Burschenschaft monument on the Göpelskuppe. The Wartburg presents itself on the opposite hill in its most beautiful view! The view of the city from above is also impressive. You descend on the panorama trail and take a path on Böckelstraße to the left, descending in serpentine to the romantic Johannisthal. There you follow the gravel path to the right. At its end, you pass through the gate on the right into the Karthausgarten. The venerable park with a pavilion is worth seeing in every season! At the park exit to Waisenstraße, turn left, cross Wartburgallee into Barfüßerstraße, and turn right into Marienstraße. À la place Johannis, tu tournes à droite dans la Kleine Löbergasse, puis à gauche dans la Löbergasse, et tu arrives à la Karlsplatz avec le monument Luther. Chez le boulanger "Onkel Karl", tu montes les escaliers dans un passage et traverses la Wartburgallee. Tu entres dans le parc municipal du Pflugensberg et suis les sentiers en lacets jusqu'à la villa impressionnante Eichel-Streiber, qui servit plus tard entre autres de siège de l'évêché et de l'administration de l'Église territoriale de Thuringe. À travers la forêt, tu arrives au pied du monument monumental de la Burschenschaft à la Göpelskuppe. La Wartburg se présente sur la colline opposée sous son plus beau jour ! La vue sur la ville en hauteur est également impressionnante. Tu descends par le sentier panoramique et, à la Böckelstraße, tu prends un sentier en lacets à gauche qui descend dans le romantique Johannisthal. Là, tu suis le chemin de gravier à droite. Au bout, tu franchis le portail à droite dans le Karthausgarten. Ce parc vénérable avec sa salle de promenade vaut le détour en toute saison ! À la sortie du parc vers la Waisenstraße, tu te diriges à gauche, traverses la Wartburgallee dans la Barfüßerstraße et tournes à droite dans la Marienstraße. Celle-ci te ramène au Frauenplan. Des possibilités de restauration se trouvent au monument de la Burschenschaft et dans la ville d'Eisenach.

At the bakery "Uncle Karl," climb stairs in a passageway and cross Wartburgallee. You enter the city park at Pflugensberg and walk on serpentine paths uphill to the impressive Villa Eichel-Streiber, which later served, among other things, as the bishop's and administrative seat of the Thuringian State Church. Through the forest, you reach the foot of the monumental Burschenschaft monument on the Göpelskuppe. The Wartburg presents itself on the opposite hill in its most beautiful view! The view of the city from above is also impressive. You descend on the panorama trail and take a path on Böckelstraße to the left, descending in serpentine to the romantic Johannisthal. There you follow the gravel path to the right. At its end, you pass through the gate on the right into the Karthausgarten. The venerable park with a pavilion is worth seeing in every season! At the park exit to Waisenstraße, turn left, cross Wartburgallee into Barfüßerstraße, and turn right into Marienstraße. It leads back to Frauenplan. There are places to eat at the Burschenschaft monument and in the city of Eisenach.
