Erstmalig veranstalte die Urlaubsregion Coburg.Rennsteig am 13. August 2022 ein eigenes Wanderevent zusammen mit der Stadt Heldburg vor der einmaligen Kulisse der 25. Thüringer Montgolfiade. Für all diejenigen, die an diesem Tag nicht dabei sein konnten, teilen wir hier die ca. 14 Kilometer lange Entdeckertour - viel Spaß beim Nachwandern! For the first time, the Coburg.Rennsteig holiday region held its own hiking event together with the city of Heldburg on August 13, 2022, against the unique backdrop of the 25th Thuringian Montgolfiade. thuecat:directions @fr Le parcours commence à la place de la fête à Heldburg, où se tient tous les deux ans la Montgolfiade de Thuringe, l’un des plus grands événements allemands de montgolfières. Le camping-car situé au Rainbrünnlein sert aussi de point de repère. La petite ville de Heldburg, caractérisée par ses maisons à colombages, mérite également une visite avant ou après la randonnée. Suivant d’abord un petit bout du Lutherweg, la randonnée passe par le Gerichtsberg, qui offre une magnifique première vue sur la Veste Heldburg. En suivant un sentier, on descend sur un chemin carrossable et passe ensuite les points d’intérêt Kuhsee et le Schnepfenbrunnen. En continuant sur le chemin forestier, on atteint bientôt un autre lac et des champs, puis le mémorial de Billmuthausen. Ce village, situé directement à l’ancienne frontière intérieure allemande, comptait autrefois 70 habitants, avant d’être évacué et totalement rasé par les autorités de la RDA entre 1977 et 1978. Seul le cimetière a été conservé. L’association locale a créé un mémorial impressionnant invitant randonneurs et cyclistes à la pause et à l’échange de réflexions. Le long de l’ancienne frontière et même en marchant un bout sur le Kolonnenweg, la randonnée continue jusqu’au point Hoher Stein, qui invite à une petite pause grâce à un ensemble de sièges. En suivant le chemin équestre, on atteint enfin la majestueuse Veste Heldburg, autrefois appelée "Fränkische Leuchte" probablement parce qu’elle servait à envoyer des signaux lumineux en cas de danger aux châteaux voisins de Franconie. Aujourd’hui, le château abrite le Musée allemand des châteaux, un incontournable pour tous les amateurs de châteaux. La tour du château offre en outre une vue splendide sur le paysage environnant. Plusieurs options bien balisées existent à partir de la Veste pour retourner à Heldburg.

Today, the castle houses the German Castle Museum, an absolute must for every castle enthusiast. The castle tower also offers magnificent views of the surrounding landscape. From the Veste, there are now various well-signposted options to return to Heldburg.
