Nach einer Pause an der historischen Ölmühle in Eberstedt geht es hügelabwärts bis nach Bad Sulza – Thüringens beliebter Kur- und Weinstadt. Hier lässt es sich gemütlich durch den historischen Kurpark schlendern, oder man stattet der Trinkhalle und dem Gradierwerk „Louise“ einen Besuch ab. Aus der Stadt heraus wird man bis zur Saalemündung von Weinbergen begleitet. Am Ende des Ilmtal-Radweges fährt man weiter auf dem Saaleradweg, oder man kehrt ein: Das Weingut Zahn wartet mit preisgekrönten Saale-Unstrut-Weinen und einer guten Gastronomie auf. Vom Bahnhof in Großheringen geht es übrigens bequem zurück nach Weimar – die Fahrradmitnahme ist möglich.
