Die Finne-Region gehört zum Geo-Naturpark Saale-Unstrut-Triasland. Eines der bedeutendsten Naturschutzgebiete ist der "Forst Bibra". Es erstreckt sich am Höhenzug der Finne sanft auf die sich erhebenden Talränder und ist das Herzstück der Waldlandschaft. Buntsandstein und Muschelkalk beherbergen auf ihren Steinplateaus unzählige Pflanzenarten, zu denen auch 18 verschiedene Orchideenarten zählen. Ein Zeichen für eine noch intakte Umwelt ist die Existenz dieser hochsensiblen Pflanzen mit ihren besonderen Ansprüchen. So stellt nicht nur der Frauenschuh eine Augenweide dar. Auch die Ragwurz-Arten, die Vielfalt des Knabenkrautes, Waldhyazinthe, Waldvöglein oder der prachtvolle Diptam überraschen mit ihrer Abwechslung. Der Orchideenpfad befindet sich bei Krawinkel, unweit der vorgeschlagenen Route.

La région de la Finne appartient au parc naturel géologique Saale-Unstrut-Triasland. L’une des réserves naturelles les plus importantes est la « Forêt Bibra ». Elle s’étend doucement sur la crête de la Finne vers les bords de la vallée en élévation et constitue le cœur du paysage forestier. Le grès bigarré et le calcaire coquillier abritent sur leurs plateaux rocheux une multitude d’espèces végétales, parmi lesquelles 18 espèces différentes d’orchidées. L’existence de ces plantes très sensibles avec leurs exigences particulières est un signe d’un environnement encore intact. Le Cypripède constitue ainsi une véritable merveille pour les yeux, tout comme les espèces d’Ophrys, la variété de Nigritelle, l’Hyacinthe des bois, le Pyramidal ou encore le splendide dictame surprennent par leur diversité. Le sentier des orchidées se trouve près de Krawinkel, non loin du parcours proposé.

Sandstone and shell limestone host countless plant species on their rocky plateaus, including 18 different species of orchids. The presence of these highly sensitive plants with their special requirements is a sign of an intact environment. Not only the lady's slipper orchid is a visual delight. The species of ragwort, the variety of marsh orchids, woodland hyacinths, bird's-nest orchids, or the magnificent dittany also surprise with their diversity. The orchid trail is located near Krawinkel, close to the suggested route.
