La randonnée hivernale commence à Cursdorf à l'office de tourisme ou au musée historique des appareils en verre. Devant l’office de tourisme, on démarre à gauche en longeant le parc jusqu’à la place Otto-Pressler. Sur la gauche de la place Otto-Pressler, on suit l’ancienne route d’acheminement du bétail (rue Treibe), en passant devant la manufacture de porcelaine Kati Zorn, jusqu’à l’intersection avec la route de district. Ici, on tourne à droite pour traverser la route de district après environ 100 m en direction de la sortie du village de Cursdorf. Là commence la montée le long de la rue Macheleidstraße et tout droit jusqu’au croisement du chemin à l’avant Tännig. Au croisement Tännig, il faut tourner à gauche pour prendre le sentier de crête, passer la croix de montagne à l’échelle du ciel et atteindre la tour Fröbelturm sur la colline Kirchberg. Il vaut la peine de monter à la tour pour profiter d’un magnifique panorama sur la forêt de Thuringe par beau temps. Le snack forestier ou la auberge de montagne Fröbelturm offrent ici des possibilités de restauration. En alternative au même chemin retour, on peut aussi utiliser la route d’accès à la tour Fröbelturm en direction d’Oberweißbach.

The winter hike starts in Cursdorf at the Tourist Information or the Historical Glass Apparatus Museum. In front of the Tourist Information, start left past the park to Otto-Pressler-Platz. On the left side of Otto-Pressler-Platz, follow the old livestock drive road (street: Treibe), past the porcelain manufactory Kati Zorn, to the intersection with the Kreisstraße. Here, keep right to cross the Kreisstraße about 100m towards the Cursdorf town exit. The uphill climb starts along Macheleidstraße, continuing straight to the intersection at the front Tännig. At the Tännig intersection, turn left to follow the ridge trail, passing the mountain cross at the Himmelsleiter, to reach the Fröbelturm on Kirchberg. It is worth climbing the tower here to enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Thuringian Forest on a clear day. The forest snack bar or the Fröbelturm mountain inn offer opportunities for refreshments. Alternatively, the same return route or the access road to Fröbelturm towards Oberweißbach can be used.

Die Winterwanderung beginnt in Cursdorf an der Tourist-Information bzw. dem Historischen Glasapparatemuseum. Vor der Tourist-Information startet man links am Park vorbei bis zum Otto-Pressler-Platz. Linker Hand des Otto-Pressler-Platzes folgt man der alten Viehtreibe (Straße: Treibe), vorbei an der Porzellanmanufaktur Kati Zorn, bis zur Straßenkreuzung zur Kreisstraße. Hier hält man sich rechts um nach ca. 100m Richtung Ortsausgang Cursdorf die Kreisstraße zu überqueren. Hier beginnt der Bergaufstieg entlang der Macheleidstraße und weiter geradeaus bis zur Wegkreuzung am vorderen Tännig.  An der Wegkreuzung Tännig muss links abgebogen werden, um auf dem Kammweg entlang, vorbei am Bergkreuz an der Himmelsleiter, den Fröbelturm auf dem Kirchberg zu erreichen. Hier lohnt sich ein Aufstieg auf den Turm um bei schönem Wetter einen herrlichen Rundumblick auf den Thüringer Wald zu genießen. Der Waldimbiss oder das Berggasthaus Fröbelturm bieten hier Möglichkeiten zur Einkehr. Alternativ zum gleichen Rückweg, kann man auch die Zufahrtsstraße zum Fröbelturm Richtung Oberweißbach nutzen.
