Ce parcours circulaire avec point de départ et d’arrivée à la mine-musée Morassina est une belle occasion de contourner le village de Schmiedefeld. Depuis la grotte, le chemin monte légèrement en direction de Lippelsdorf. Ici, depuis plus de 140 ans, on fabrique de la porcelaine figurative. De manière très parlante, il est possible de découvrir les coulisses de la manufacture historique de porcelaine Wagner & Apel, notamment un four à charbon tournant sur plusieurs étages, un moulin de pétrissage avec d’anciennes meules et un moteur à vapeur datant de 1937. Ces éléments sont visibles gratuitement en journée. Depuis là, le chemin redescend vers Schmiedefeld. Par des prés, on atteint la lisière du village en direction de Birkenhieb et en passant par l’ancienne mine à ciel ouvert, jusqu’à la tour de Leipzig. On bénéficie ici d’une superbe vue sur la région. Le chemin redescend ensuite vers Schmiedefeld et revient au point de départ - la grotte Morassina. Il est possible de faire une visite guidée dans la vieille mine et de se restaurer dans la taverne attenante.

This circular route with start and end point at the Morassina Show Mine is a nice opportunity to circle around the town of Schmiedefeld. From the cave, it goes a bit uphill towards Lippelsdorf. Figurative porcelain has been produced here for over 140 years. In an illustrative way, you can look behind the scenes of the porcelain manufactory in the historic Wagner & Apel Porcelain Manufactory and discover, among other things, a multi-story coal round kiln, a mass mill with ancient movable grinding and stirring mechanisms, and a steam engine from 1937. These can be visited free of charge during the day. From there, the path leads back towards Schmiedefeld. Across meadows, you reach the edge of the village towards Birkenhieb and past the old opencast mine to the Leipziger Tower. Here you have a great view over the region. The path goes downhill back to Schmiedefeld and to the starting point - the Morassina Cave - again. Here you can experience a guided tour through the old mine and visit the adjoining inn.

Dieser Rundweg mit Start- und Endpunkt am Morassina Schaubergwerk ist eine schöne Möglichkeit den Ort Schmiedefeld zu umrunden. Von der Grotte aus geht es ein Stück bergan in Richtung Lippelsdorf. Hier wird seit über  140 Jahren figürliches Porzellan gefertigt. In anschaulicher Weise kann man in der historischen Porzellanmanufaktur Wagner & Apel hinter die Kulissen der Porzellanmanufaktur blicken und unter anderem einen mehrstöckigen Kohle-Rundbrandofen, eine Massemühle mit uralten beweglichen Mahl- und Rührwerken und eine Dampfmaschine aus dem Jahre 1937 entdecken. Diese sind tagsüber jederzeit kostenfrei zu besichtigen. Von da an geht es wieder in Richtung Schmiedefeld. Über Wiesen gelangt man am Dorfrand in Richtung Birkenhieb und am alten Tagebau vorbei zum Leipziger Turm. Hier hat man eine tolle Aussicht über die Region. Bergab führt der Weg wieder nach Schmiedefeld und zum Ausgangspunkt - der Morassina Grotte - zurück. Hier kann man eine Führung durch das alte Bergwerk erleben und in der angrenzenden Gaststätte einkehrern.
