Der TOP-Wanderweg startet am Wanderparkplatz im Mihlaer Tal. Entlang des Artelbaches führt Dich der Weg Richtung Hörschelborn, einer geheimnisvollen Waldquelle. An der Grenze zum Nationalpark Hainich biegst Du rechts ab und wanderst durch das wunderschöne Schwantal hinauf auf die Höhe des Seifenberges – hier spürst Du die pure Wildnis des Nationalparks. Ein Stopp am „Urwald-Life-Camp“ am Harsberg lohnt sich – dort findest Du die Nationalpark-Information und kannst das Gelände der Jugendherberge erkunden. Weiter geht’s zum Fliegerhang Harsberg, von dem aus Du eine herrliche Aussicht auf den Thüringer Wald, die Rhön und den Hohen Meißner genießen kannst – perfekt, um kurz zu entspannen und die Natur auf Dich wirken zu lassen. Beim Überqueren des Hangs achte bitte auf den Flugbetrieb der Gleitschirmflieger! Danach führt Dich der Weg über den sogenannten Zwergenpfad zur geheimnisvollen Wolfsschlucht. Hier erwarten Dich spannende Mythen des Hainich und interessante Infos rund um den Wolf – anschaulich dargestellt auf Infotafeln. Über einen Wirtschaftsweg gelangst Du zurück zum Wanderparkplatz. Ein kleiner Abstecher zur Köhlerbaude rundet Deinen Ausflug perfekt ab. In der überdachten Schutzhütte kannst du rasten und dich an Infotafeln über ihre Geschichte informieren.

Le sentier TOP commence au parking de randonnée dans la vallée de Mihlaer Tal. Le long du ruisseau Artelbach, le chemin te mène en direction de Hörschelborn, une source forestière mystérieuse. À la limite du parc national de Hainich, tourne à droite et marche à travers la belle vallée de Schwan jusqu'à la hauteur du mont Seifenberg – ici, tu ressens la pure nature sauvage du parc national. Un arrêt au "Camp Vie de la Forêt Primitive" sur le Harsberg vaut la peine – tu y trouveras les informations du parc national et pourras explorer le terrain de l'auberge de jeunesse. Continue vers la piste de vol de Harsberg, d'où tu peux profiter d'une vue magnifique sur la forêt de Thuringe, la Rhön et le Hoher Meißner – parfait pour te détendre un moment et laisser la nature t'imprégner. Fais attention au trafic des parapentistes lors de la traversée de la pente ! Ensuite, le chemin te conduit par le sentier dit "des nains" vers la mystérieuse gorge du Loup. Là, tu découvriras des mythes passionnants du Hainich et des informations intéressantes sur le loup, présentées clairement sur des panneaux d'information. Par un chemin forestier, tu retournes au parking de randonnée. Une petite excursion à la cabane du charbonnier complète parfaitement ta sortie. Dans le refuge couvert, tu peux te reposer et t'informer sur son histoire grâce aux panneaux d'information.

The TOP hiking trail starts at the Mihlaer Tal car park. Along the Artelbach stream, the trail leads you towards Hörschelborn, a mysterious forest spring. At the border of the Hainich National Park, turn right and hike through the beautiful Schwantal valley up to the height of the Seifenberg – here you will feel the pure wilderness of the National Park. A stop at the "Primeval Forest Life Camp" at Harsberg is worthwhile – there you will find the National Park information and can explore the grounds of the youth hostel. Then continue to the Harsberg take-off slope, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Thuringian Forest, the Rhön Mountains, and the Hoher Meißner – perfect for a short rest and to let nature have an effect on you. When crossing the slope, please pay attention to the paragliding activity! Afterwards, the path takes you along the so-called Dwarf Path to the mysterious Wolf Gorge. There you will find exciting myths of the Hainich and interesting information about the wolf – clearly displayed on information boards. Via a forest service road, you return to the hiking car park. A short detour to the charcoal burner’s hut completes your excursion perfectly. In the covered shelter, you can rest and learn about its history from information boards.
