Diese abwechslungsreiche Rundwanderung bei Deuna lädt zu einer rund 90-minütigen Entdeckungstour durch Natur, Geschichte und eindrucksvolle Landschaften ein. Mit einem moderaten Höhenunterschied von etwa 90 Metern ist sie auch für gemütliche Wanderer gut zu bewältigen.Startpunkt ist der Wanderparkplatz oberhalb der Festhalle „Am Dün“. Von hier führt der Weg durch den bewaldeten Dün. Bald erreicht man das markante Dünkreuz – ein 15 Meter hohes Steinkreuz, das 1935 als Zeichen des Glaubens errichtet wurde. Direkt darunter liegt eine Marienkapelle, erbaut in den Jahren 2000/01. Nur wenige Schritte entfernt ragt eine imposante Linde mit einem Stammumfang von stolzen 6 Metern empor – ein echter Naturgigant. In unmittelbarer Nähe entspringt die Walsborn-Quelle. Der Weg setzt sich über den Eichsfeldweg fort, leicht ansteigend in Richtung Kalksteintagebau. Dort wartet ein spannender Erlebnispfad entlang der Abbruchkante – begleitet von beeindruckenden Ausblicken über den weiten Eichsfelder Kessel. Nach dem Überqueren eines Förderbandes führt die Route parallel zur Bandstraße zum inzwischen stillgelegten Tontagebau. Von hier biegt man nach Westen ab und folgt dem „Unteren Dünwanderweg“. Vorbei am idyllischen Hirschteich verläuft der Weg nun entlang des Waldrands. Immer wieder öffnen sich herrliche Ausblicke auf das darunterliegende Deuna – besonders ins Auge fällt der markante Kirchturm der St.-Peter-und-Paul-Kirche im Ortszentrum. Nach diesem letzten Panorama ist der Ausgangspunkt am Wanderparkplatz nicht mehr weit – ein gelungener Abschluss einer ruhigen, eindrucksvollen Tour durch die Natur des Eichsfelds.

From here the path leads through the wooded Dün. Soon you reach the distinctive Dün cross – a 15-meter-high stone cross erected in 1935 as a sign of faith. Directly below lies a Marian chapel, built in 2000/01. Just a few steps away stands an imposing lime tree with a trunk circumference of a proud 6 meters – a real natural giant. The Walsborn spring rises in the immediate vicinity. The path continues along the Eichsfeldweg, gently ascending towards the limestone quarry. There awaits an exciting adventure trail along the quarry edge – accompanied by impressive views over the wide Eichsfelder basin. After crossing a conveyor belt, the route leads parallel to the band road to the now disused clay quarry. From here you turn west and follow the "Lower Dün hiking trail." Passing the idyllic deer pond, the path now runs along the edge of the forest. Time and again, wonderful views open up of the Deuna below – the distinctive church tower of the St. Peter and Paul church in the town center stands out especially. After this last panorama, the starting point at the hiking parking lot is not far – a successful conclusion to a quiet, impressive tour through the nature of Eichsfeld.

Cette randonnée circulaire variée près de Deuna invite à une découverte d'environ 90 minutes à travers la nature, l'histoire et des paysages impressionnants. Avec une différence d'altitude modérée d'environ 90 mètres, elle est également accessible aux randonneurs tranquilles.Le point de départ est le parking de randonnée au-dessus de la salle des fêtes « Am Dün ». De là, le chemin traverse le Dün boisé. Bientôt, vous atteindrez la croix marquante du Dün – une croix en pierre de 15 mètres de haut, érigée en 1935 en signe de foi. Juste en dessous se trouve une chapelle mariale, construite entre 2000 et 2001. À quelques pas, un tilleul imposant avec une circonférence du tronc de 6 mètres se dresse – un véritable géant naturel. À proximité immédiate jaillit la source Walsborn. Le chemin se poursuit sur le sentier d'Eichsfeld, légèrement en montée vers la carrière de calcaire. Là, un sentier d'aventure passionnant longe le bord d'ablation – accompagné de vues impressionnantes sur la large cuvette d'Eichsfeld. Après avoir traversé un convoyeur à bande, la route suit parallèlement la bandstraße jusqu'à l'ancienne carrière d'argile désormais fermée. De là, elle tourne vers l'ouest et suit le « sentier inférieur Dün ». Passant par l'idyllique Étang aux cerfs, le chemin longe désormais la lisière de la forêt. De temps en temps, de magnifiques vues s'ouvrent sur Deuna en contrebas – en particulier, le clocher distinctif de l'église Saint-Pierre-et-Paul au centre du village attire l'attention. Après ce dernier panorama, le point de départ au parking n'est plus loin – une conclusion réussie d'une promenade tranquille et impressionnante à travers la nature de l'Eichsfeld.
