About: St. Gangloff

St. Gangloff est une commune du district de Saale-Holzland. Idéalement situé au Hermsdorfer Kreuz, le village se trouve entre une grande zone forestière et des terres agricoles. Mentionnée pour la première fois dans un document du 13e siècle et construite sur sept collines, elle est appelée en plaisantant la "Rome de Thuringe". Une petite chapelle de pèlerinage à Saint Gangloff, un chevalier bourguignon, a donné son nom au village. Dans le vieux centre du village, au Fischbach, il y a de vieilles maisons à colombages qui méritent d'être vues, l'une d'entre elles ayant un four en argile original, ainsi que l' église du village St. L'église, construite au milieu du XVIIIe siècle, est un édifice en bois de style Zopf avec un orgue Poppe de Stadtroda. À la périphérie du village, sur le site d'un ancien moulin de découpe, se trouve une pension pour chevaux. Les environs de St. Gangloff se prêtent bien au cyclisme et à la randonnée, par exemple dans le Zeitzgrund.

St. Gangloff is a community in the Saale-Holzland district. Conveniently located at the Hermsdorfer Kreuz, the village lies between a large forest area and agricultural land. First mentioned in a document in the 13th century and built on seven hills, it is jokingly called "Thuringian Rome". A small pilgrimage chapel to Saint Gangloff, a Burgundian knight, gave the village its name. Worth seeing are some old half-timbered houses in the old village centre at the Fischbach, one of them with an original clay oven, as well as the village church St. Gangloff. The church was built in the middle of the 18th century and is a wooden building in Zopf style with a Poppe organ from Stadtroda. On the outskirts of the village, on the site of a former cutting mill, there is a horse boarding house. The surroundings of St. Gangloff are well suited for cycling and hiking, for example in the Zeitzgrund.

St. Gangloff ist eine Gemeinde im Saale-Holzland-Kreis. Verkehrsgünstig am Hermsdorfer Kreuz gelegen, liegt der Ort zwischen einem großen Waldgebiet und landwirtschaftlichen Flächen. Erstmals im 13. Jahrhundert urkundlich erwähnt und auf sieben Hügeln erbaut, wird es scherzhaft als "Thüringer Rom" bezeichnet. Eine kleine Wallfahrtskapelle zum Heiligen Gangloff, einem burgundischen Ritter, gab dem Ort seinen Namen. Sehenswert sind einige alte Fachwerkhäuser im alten Dorfkern am Fischbach, eines davon mit einem originalen Lehmofen, sowie die Dorfkirche St. Gangloff. Die Kirche wurde in der Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts erbaut und ist ein Holzbau im Zopfstil mit einer Poppe-Orgel aus Stadtroda. Am Rande des Dorfes, auf dem Gelände einer ehemaligen Schneidemühle, befindet sich eine Pferdepension. Die Umgebung von St. Gangloff eignet sich gut zum Radfahren und Wandern, zum Beispiel im Zeitzgrund.
