Le couvent cistercien de nonnes de Stadtroda - Une ruine de l'ancien couvent cistercien de nonnes de Roda. Le monastère doit son origine aux seigneurs de Lobdeburg qui, après leur arrivée de Franconie dans la région en 1160, créèrent un nouveau monastère domestique à Roda (depuis 1925 Stadtroda), également comme lieu de sépulture pour leur lignée, et fondèrent en 1240 le monastère de moniales de l'ordre des Cisterciennes. Il a été supprimé en 1534 suite à la Réforme en Thuringe. Pendant les mois d'été, des concerts de chorale et du théâtre d'été sont organisés dans ce décor impressionnant. Les visites sont possibles toute l'année.

The Cistercian Nunnery of Stadtroda - A ruin of the former Cistercian nunnery of Roda. The monastery owes its origin to the Lords of Lobdeburg, who after their arrival in 1160 from Franconia to the local area established a new house-monastery here in the town of Roda (since 1925 Stadtroda), also as a burial place for their family, and founded the monastery for nuns of the Cistercian order in 1240. It was abolished in 1534 as a result of the Reformation in Thuringia. In the summer months choir concerts and summer theater are held in the impressive setting. Year-round visitation is possible.

Das Zisterzienser Nonnenkloster Stadtroda - eine Ruine der ehemaligen Zisterzienser Nonnenkloster zu Roda Das Kloster verdankt seinen Ursprung den Herren von Lobdeburg, welche nach ihrem Einzug 1160 aus Franken in die hiesige Gegend hier in Stadt Roda (seit 1925 Stadtroda) ein neues Hauskloster, auch als eine Begräbnisstätte für ihr Geschlecht, anlegten und dabei 1240 das Kloster für Nonnen vom Orden der Zisterzienserinnen gründeten. Aufgehoben wurde es 1534 infolge der Reformation in Thüringen. In den Sommermonaten finden in der beeindruckenden Kulisse Chorkonzerte und Sommertheater statt. Ganzjährige Besichtigung ist möglich.
