La tour panoramique de 21 m de haut a été construite en 2015 sur l'Inselsberg, à 916 m d'altitude, à partir d'une ancienne tour pour le réseau hertzien. Cette tour offre une vue fantastique à 360° depuis le "Grosse Inselsberg" sur une très grande partie de la forêt de Thuringe. Lorsque la visibilité est bonne, on peut même voir le Brocken, le plus haut sommet du Harz. La webcam permet de voir les conditions de visibilité sur le Grosse Inselsberg.

The 21 m high observation tower was built in 2015 on the 916 m high Inselsberg from a former tower for the radio relay network. This tower offers a fantastic 360° view from the "Großer Inselsberg" over a very large part of the Thuringian Forest. With good visibility you can even see the Brocken, the highest mountain of the Harz. How the visibility is just on the Great Inselsberg, can be seen with the webcam.

Der 21 m hohe Aussichtsturm entstand 2015 auf dem 916 m hohen Inselsberg aus einem ehemaligen Turm für das Richtfunknetz. Dieser Turm bietet eine fantastische 360°- Aussicht vom „Großen Inselsberg“ über einen sehr großen Teil des Thüringer Waldes. Bei guter Fernsicht ist sogar der Brocken, der höchste Berg des Harzes zu sehen. Wie die Sichtverhältnisse gerade auf dem Großen Inselsberg sind, lässt sich mit der Webcam erkennen. Aufstieg zur Aussichtsetage über 95 Treppenstufen. Es ist kein Aufzug vorhanden.
