Originally, the Hohlstedt Church was a Romanesque choir-tower church. The church, now with exposed stonework and built entirely of large limestone blocks, features a nave with a half-hipped roof and a rectangular choir tower with a pyramidal hipped roof. On the south side, two Romanesque round-arched windows are still visible. Corbels are visible on the northern facade. This was formerly the roof support for a covered gallery staircase; the opening is now filled by a large window. This staircase was demolished in 1855. In its place, an entrance was built on the west side. The church is one of the “Feininger churches.” Two original works—a watercolor and a watercolor pen-and-ink drawing—hang in the Feininger Gallery in Quedlinburg. In 1705, the church underwent extensive renovation. Afterward, a pulpit altar in the Zopf style separated the eastern part of the choir. In the 1950s, the church underwent a redesign. Since then, the stone altar has been located on the east wall of the choir. A sacrament niche was uncovered in the north wall. The former pulpit of the pulpit altar had been temporarily mounted on the north wall in the meantime. The windows are new and feature textured glass. The choir is separated from the nave by a round-arched triumphal arch; the nave has a new brick floor. The surrounding gallery is adorned with balustrade paintings in gray-brown tones, presumably from the 19th century. The organ, which was still present in 1966, has been completely removed. On the upper floor of the tower hangs a bronze bell, dating from around the 14th century, featuring a large linear relief depicting Saint Martin sharing his cloak with a beggar. This bell, which bears no inscription identifying the bell founder, is unique in its design.
Wejście to zostało rozebrane w 1855 roku. Kościół ten należy do tzw. „kościołów Feiningera”. Dwa oryginalne dzieła – akwarela i rysunek piórkiem w technice akwarelowej – wiszą w Galerii Feiningera w Quedlinburgu. W 1705 roku kościół został gruntownie przebudowany. Ołtarz z amboną w stylu zopfowskim oddzielał wówczas wschodnią część chóru. W latach 50.
