Hoch über der Stadt Saalburg liegt Kulm. Der Name bedeutet soviel wie Kuppe, Anhöhe. Tatsächlich bezeichnet er den höchsten Punkt im Territorium Saalburg. Kulm besitzt 124 Einwohner und erstreckt sich über ein 512,84 ha großes Gebiet. Es gibt lediglich spärliche Informationen und Überlieferungen aus der Geschichte, doch diese stammen ausschließlich von kirchlichen Erzählungen. 1223 wurde das Gotteshaus gegründet, wie uns die noch erhaltene Weiheurkunde verrät. Obwohl die Kirche mit der größenteils erhaltenen Kirchhofsmauer,den schweren Fenstergittern und der ausgezeichnet erhaltenen eisenbeschlagenen Eingangstür sehr wehrhaft wirkt, handelt es sich doch nicht um eine Wehrkirche im eigentlichen Sinn.

Kulm has 124 inhabitants and covers an area of 512.84 hectares. There is only sparse information and tradition from history, but this comes exclusively from church narratives. The church was founded in 1223, as the consecration certificate, which is still preserved, tells us. Although the church appears very fortified with its largely preserved churchyard wall, heavy window grilles, and excellently preserved iron-clad entrance door, it is not a fortified church in the true sense of the word.

Il n'existe que peu d'informations et de traditions historiques, mais celles-ci proviennent exclusivement de récits ecclésiastiques. L'église a été fondée en 1223, comme l'indique le document de consécration encore conservé. Bien que l'église semble très fortifiée avec son mur d'enceinte en grande partie conservé, ses lourdes grilles de fenêtre et sa porte d'entrée ferrée en excellent état, il ne s'agit pas d'une église fortifiée au sens propre du terme.
