About: Breitenheerda

On the border of the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district with the Ilmkreis district, the district of Breitenheerda stretches in a north-south direction, in a saddle between the steeply rising shell limestone slopes of the Kalmberg and Tännichberg mountains, at an altitude of 410 meters. It forms the main part of the village, which includes the small hamlet of Tännich and whose district includes forest areas of the forest districts of Tännich and Ziegenleite. The half-timbered houses of the village are mostly provided with plaster facades, so that the originality can be seen only in a few places. An NVA site was located on the large Kalmberg from the end of 1970 until the reunification. The village has belonged to the city of Rudolstadt since January 1, 2019.

À la frontière entre le district de Saalfeld-Rudolstadt et celui d'Ilm, le quartier de Breitenheerda s'étend du nord au sud, dans un creux entre les pentes abruptes de calcaire coquillier du Kalmberg et du Tännichberg, à une altitude de 410 mètres. Il constitue la partie principale de la localité, qui inclut le petit quartier de Tännich et dont le territoire comprend des zones forestières des districts forestiers de Tännich et Ziegenleite. Les maisons à colombage du village sont pour la plupart dotées de façades en crépi, de sorte que l'originalité n'est plus visible qu'à quelques endroits. Le grand Kalmberg a accueilli un site de la NVA de fin 1970 jusqu'à la réunification. La localité fait partie de la ville de Rudolstadt depuis le 1er janvier 2019.

An der Grenze des Kreises Saalfeld-Rudolstadt zum Ilmkreis erstreckt sich in Nord-Süd-Richtung, in einer Einsättelung zwischen den steil aufragenden Muschelkalkhängen des Kalmberges und des Tännichberges, der Ortsteil Breitenheerda in einer Höhe von 410 Metern. Es bildet den Hauptteil des Ortes, der den kleinen Ortsteil Tännich einschließt und dessen Gemarkung Waldareale der Forstbezirke Tännich und Ziegenleite umfasst. Die Fachwerkhäuser des Ortes sind zum Großteil mit Putzfassaden versehen, so dass die Ursprünglichkeit nur noch an wenigen Stellen zu sehen ist. Auf dem großen Kalmberg befand sich ab Ende 1970 bis zur Wiedervereinigung ein NVA-Standort. Die Ortschaft gehört seit dem 1. Januar 2019 zur Stadt Rudolstadt.
