To mark International Children's Day, we are offering a guided family hike for children aged 6 and over. Our discovery tour is the ideal program for young history beginners. Together we go in search of clues. We explore the historic village of Schifflersgrund and its stories. We walk along the Kolonnenweg, examine historical border relics and explore the Green Belt. We will also explore the new permanent exhibition and learn a lot about everyday life on the former inner-German border. We ask that you bring sturdy shoes, suitable clothing, rain and sun protection as well as sufficient food and drink. The program takes place in cooperation with the Children and Youth Academy of the State Education Authority for the district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg and the Werra-Meißner district.
