Tröchtelborn compte 304 habitants et se situe dans le paysage de la vallée entre Fahner Höhe et Seebergen ou Burgenland. La superficie totale du territoire communal est de 567 ha. C'est entre 375 et 531 que le village a été mentionné pour la première fois dans un document, en même temps que Friemar. Ces dernières années, l'image du village a changé de manière positive grâce aux efforts importants des habitants et au programme de rénovation du village. Dans le cadre de la rénovation du village, toutes les rues du village ont été revêtues d'une nouvelle surface et aménagées à la satisfaction des citoyens. Le jardin du village et le panneau d'accueil de la Lindenstrasse ainsi que la place réaménagée à côté du musée local se distinguent de manière positive. Fin 2010, la commune a réussi à se raccorder au réseau public d'égouts. Par ailleurs, au cours des dix dernières années, des mesures de plantation (notamment d'arbres fruitiers) ont été prises autour du village et la construction de chemins ruraux a été soutenue.

Tröchtelborn has 304 inhabitants and lies scenically in the depression between Fahner Höhe and Seebergen or Burgenland. The total area of the district is 567 ha. In the period 375 - 531 the village was first mentioned in documents together with Friemar. In recent years, the village image has changed positively thanks to the great efforts of the inhabitants as well as the village renewal program. Within the framework of the village renewal, all streets of the village have been provided with a new surface and designed to the satisfaction of the citizens. In this context, the village green and the welcome board on Lindenstraße as well as the newly designed square next to the local history museum stand out positively. At the end of 2010, the community succeeded in being connected to the public sewage system. Furthermore, in the last 10 years, planting measures (including fruit trees) have been carried out around the village and the construction of rural roads has been supported.

Tröchtelborn zählt 304 Einwohner und liegt landschaftlich in der Senke zwischen Fahner Höhe und Seebergen bzw. Burgenland. Die Gesamtfläche der Gemarkung beträgt 567 ha. In der Zeit 375–531 wurde das Dorf gemeinsam mit Friemar erstmals urkundlich erwähnt. In den letzten Jahren hat sich das Dorfbild dank der großen Bemühungen der Einwohner sowie durch das Dorferneuerungsprogramm positiv verändert. Im Rahmen der Dorferneuerung ist es gelungen, alle Straßen des Ortes mit einer neuen Oberfläche zur versehen und zur Zufriedenheit der Bürger zu gestalten. Hierbei hebt sich der Dorfanger und die Begrüßungstafel an der Lindenstraße sowie der neu gestaltete Platz neben dem Heimatmuseum positiv hervor. Ende des Jahres 2010 ist es der Gemeinde gelungen, an die öffentliche Abwasserversorgung angeschlossen zu werden. Des Weiteren wurden in den letzten 10 Jahren auch um den Ort Anpflanzungsmaßnahmen (u. a. Obstbäume) vorgenommen sowie der Bau von ländlichen Wegen mit unterstützt.
