Gefell ist eine Landstadt im thüringischen Saale-Orla-Kreis im Vogtland unweit von Bayern und Sachsen. Das Gebiet um Gefell liegt im Südostthüringischen Schiefergebirge. Die Böden sind vorwiegend aus quarzisch gebändertem Tonschiefer und Quarzsandsteinen hervorgegangen.[3] Quellmulden sowie schmale Tallagen der Bäche sind typische Grünlandstandorte. Ackerbau ist auf plateauartigen Geländerücken, welligen Ebenen und Flachhängen begünstigt. Auf sonstigen Lagen überwiegt die forstliche Nutzung.

Gefell est une ville de campagne dans le district de Saale-Orla en Thuringe, dans le Vogtland, non loin de la Bavière et de la Saxe. La région de Gefell se situe dans le massif schisteux du sud-est de la Thuringe. Les sols sont principalement constitués de schistes argileux à bandes de quartz et de grès quartzeux[3]. Les dépressions des sources ainsi que les vallées étroites des ruisseaux sont des sites typiques de prairies. Les cultures sont favorisées sur les crêtes, les plaines ondulées et les versants plats. Sur les autres sites, l'exploitation forestière prédomine.

Gefell is a country town in the Saale-Orla district of Thuringia in the Vogtland region not far from Bavaria and Saxony. The area around Gefell lies in the southeastern Thuringian Slate Mountains. The soils are predominantly quartz-banded clay slate and quartz sandstone.[3] Spring depressions as well as narrow valley locations of streams are typical grassland locations. Arable farming is favored on plateau-like ridges, undulating plains and flat slopes. On other sites, forestry predominates.
