Les amateurs de sport peuvent également profiter du terrain de sport avec un terrain de beach-volley et un terrain de basket-ball. Pferdingsleben mit seinen ca. 400 Einwohnern liegt im beschaulichen Nessetal und zeichnet sich durch eine gute Infrastruktur und eine optimale Verkehrsanbindung an die Bundesstraße 7 aus. Ein gut ausgebautes kommunales Verkehrsnetz stellt Verbindungen in alle Himmelsrichtungen her. Über viele Jahrhunderte lebte der Ort vom landwirtschaftlichen Erwerb und ist bis heut durch ihn geprägt. In seiner mehr als 1.500-jährigen Geschichte (urkundlich nachweisbar 1.250 Jahre) hat das Dorf bewegte Zeiten überstanden, wirtschaftlichen Wohlstand durch den Waidanbau und eine effektive Landwirtschaft auf hochwertigem Boden aber auch Heimsuchungen durch Kriege und verheerende Brände erlebt. Die letzte an ihrem Originalstandort erhaltene Waidmühle Mitteleuropas, eine der Ersterwähnungen im Güterverzeichnis des Klosters Hersfeld sowie die Traube als Attribut des heiligen Wigbert, dem Kirchenpatron, lieferten die Grundlage für das 1997 genehmigte Wappen der Gemeinde. Geschichte kann trotz Kriegswirren und Bränden noch heute an vielen historischen Bauwerken (Kirche, alte Portale, Fachwerkhäuser u.a.) nachempfunden und erlebt werden. Für die Einwohner stehen mobile Verkaufswagen vom Bäcker, die Fleischerei der HAB GmbH Molschleben zur Verfügung. In der warmen Jahreszeit lädt das neue „Waidcafe“ zum Verweilen ein. Die Gemeinde hat durch das Dorferneuerungsprogramm des Freistaates Thüringen gemeindeeigene Gebäude (Gaststätte, Mehrzweckgebäude, Bürger- und Feuerwehrgerätehaus) als ortsprägende Bauwerke saniert. Sie heben den individuellen dörflichen Charakter hervor und zeigen den Willen zur Gestaltung und Erhaltung eines schönen Wohnumfeldes. In den letzten Jahren standen und steht die Erweiterung des kommunalen Wohnraums vor allem für junge Familien, die Unterstützung der Vereine bei ihrer Arbeit und die Stabilisierung der freiwilligen Feuerwehr auf dem Programm. Aber auch Sport und Freizeitgestaltung haben in der Gemeinde einen erhöhten Stellenwert gewonnen. Auf dem vor Kurzem fertiggestellten „Nessetalradweg“ (Abschlussabschnitt Pferdingsleben – Nottleben) nimmt die aktive Bewegungsfreude der Fahrrad-Freund aus Nah und Fern stetig zu. Zum Verweilen wurden für Radfahrer, Wanderer und alle Naturliebenden, auf dem am Nessetalradweg angrenzenden Sportplatz unserer Gemeinde 2 gemütliche Schutzhütten errichtet. Für Sportbegeisterte steht außerdem der Sportplatz mit Beachvolleyballfeld und einem Basketballplatz zur Verfügung. Dieser wurde in Gemeinschaftsleistung (Sportfreunde und Gemeinde) errichtet. Die Einwohner tragen mit viel Liebe und Fleiß zur Erhaltung ihrer Gebäude bei und bemühen sich um ein gepflegtes Erscheinungsbild ihres Heimatortes. Auch das „Thüringer Waidmuseum Pferdingsleben“, mit Unterstützung der Gemeinde durch den Kultur-Bund e.V. „Heimatverein Pferdingsleben“ eingerichtet, lädt zu einem interessanten Streifzug durch die Orts- und Waidgeschichte ein.
