Der Angelsee liegt in der Gemarkung des Hilderser Ortsteils Simmershausen in einer Höhenlage von 620 m ü. NN. Der See ist besetzt mit Forellen, Karpfen und Schleien. Der Bestand ist sehr gut und wird jährlich mehrmals besetzt. Es darf nur mit einer Handangel und einem Köder gefischt werden.
