Die „Grüne Tanne“ in Jena ist ein geschichtsträchtiges Gasthaus mit einer bewegten Vergangenheit. Seit 1751 trägt das Gebäude diesen Namen und war über Jahrhunderte ein beliebter Treffpunkt für Studenten, Bürger und Reisende. Besonders bekannt ist die „Grüne Tanne“ als Gründungsort der Urburschenschaft im Jahr 1815, die sich für ein geeintes Deutschland einsetzte und deren Farben Schwarz-Rot-Gold später zur Nationalflagge wurden. Der Dichter Johann Wolfgang von Goethe soll während seines Aufenthalts in Jena von 1817 bis 1818 im obersten Stockwerk der „Grünen Tanne“ gewohnt haben. Einer Legende nach verfasste er dort die Ballade „Erlkönig“, wobei dies historisch nicht belegt ist. Im Laufe der Zeit diente das Gebäude verschiedenen Zwecken: als Versammlungsort für Gewerkschaften und Sozialdemokraten im frühen 20. Jahrhundert, als Jugendherberge in der DDR-Zeit und nach der Wende als Korporationshaus der Burschenschaft Arminia auf dem Burgkeller. Heute beherbergt die „Grüne Tanne“ ein türkisches Restaurant, das traditionelle Spezialitäten anbietet und damit die kulinarische Vielfalt Jenas bereichert.

Le poète Johann Wolfgang von Goethe aurait séjourné au dernier étage du "Sapin vert" lors de son séjour à Iéna de 1817 à 1818. The "Grüne Tanne" in Jena is an inn steeped in history with an eventful past. The building has borne this name since 1751 and was a popular meeting place for students, citizens and travelers for centuries. The "Grüne Tanne" is particularly well known as the founding place of the Urburschenschaft in 1815, which campaigned for a united Germany and whose colors black, red and gold later became the national flag. The poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe is said to have stayed on the top floor of the "Grüne Tanne" during his stay in Jena from 1817 to 1818. According to legend, he wrote the ballad "Erlkönig" there, although this is not historically proven.
