About: Jüchsen

Jüchsen, der älteste Ort Südthüringens, 758 in einer Schenkung an das Kloster Fulda genannt, liegt im Muldental des gleichnamigen Baches. Mittelalterliche Namensformen sind 758 Gohhusa, 824 Juchiso, 857 Juchisa. Die älteste Ansiedlung dürfte siedlungsgünstig an der Trocken- und Wassergasse zu suchen sein. Dieser Platz ist einer der frühmittelalterlichen Siedlungskerne, aus denen der Ort zum großen Haufendorf zusammenwuchs. Jüchsen beging im Jahr 2008 seine 1250-Jahrfeier. Mittelpunkt des Dorfes ist der Untere Tannenberg, der Kirchberg, mit dem Sitz des Herren von Jüchsen (1148 bis 1519), heute Platz der Grundschule. Nur einige Schritte davon entfernt befindet sich die St.-Peter-und-Pauls-Kirche (Neubau 1628 bis 1638) und die Alte Schule (1616), jetzt Museum. Das 1997 neu eingerichtete Museum zeigt eine Vielzahl interessanter Exponate. Der Besucher bekommt genaue Einblicke in die Geschichte Jüchsens. Eine gelungene Textgebung und Auswahl der Exponate machen den Besuch für alle Geschichtsinteressierten zum Erlebnis. Besonderer Anziehungspunkt ist die an der Straße Jüchsen - Wachenbrunn gelegene landschaftlich reizvolle Widderstatt, einer der bedeutendsten vorgeschichtlichen Siedlungsplätze Südthüringens. Das an einer Quellmulde ausgebildete Siedlungsareal wird seit 8.000 v. Chr. von Menschen aufgesucht. Von hier aus kann man auf dem ausgeschilderten Keltenerlebnisweg Richtung Steinsburg (Römhild) oder zum Dolmar wandern. Südwestlich von Jüchsen, unweit der Straße nach Queienfeld, liegen zwei Wiesen von besonderem Wert: die Wirtswiese und die Graulache, die 1996 zu geschützten Landschaftsbestandteilen erklärt wurden. Ein besonderes Ereignis ist jährlich Anfang Februar die Lichtmeß, eine weit bekannte karnevalistische Großveranstaltung. Jüchsen ist der größte Ortsteil der Gemeinde Grabfeld und hat momentan 1.523 Einwohner bei einer Gesamtfläche von 2.753 ha.

Cet endroit est l'un des noyaux de population du début du Moyen-Âge à partir duquel la localité s'est développée pour devenir un grand village de montagne. Jüchsen a fêté son 1250e anniversaire en 2008. Le centre du village est l'Untere Tannenberg, le Kirchberg, avec le siège du seigneur de Jüchsen (1148 à 1519), aujourd'hui place de l'école primaire. À quelques pas de là se trouvent l'église Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul (nouvelle construction de 1628 à 1638) et l'ancienne école (1616), aujourd'hui musée. Le musée, réaménagé en 1997, présente une multitude d'objets intéressants. Le visiteur a un aperçu précis de l'histoire de Jüchsen. Une mise en texte et une sélection des objets exposés réussies font de la visite un événement pour tous ceux qui s'intéressent à l'histoire. Le Widderstatt, situé sur la route Jüchsen - Wachenbrunn, est l'un des sites préhistoriques les plus importants du sud de la Thuringe et constitue un point d'attraction particulier. La zone d'habitat formée par une source est fréquentée par l'homme depuis 8 000 ans avant J.-C.. De là, il est possible de se promener sur le sentier de découverte des Celtes balisé en direction de Steinsburg (Römhild) ou du Dolmar. Au sud-ouest de Jüchsen, non loin de la route menant à Queienfeld, se trouvent deux prairies d'une valeur particulière : la Wirtswiese et la Graulache, qui ont été déclarées en 1996 comme éléments protégés du paysage. Chaque année, début février, la Lichtmeß, une grande manifestation carnavalesque très connue, constitue un événement particulier. Jüchsen est le plus grand quartier de la commune de Grabfeld et compte actuellement 1.523 habitants pour une superficie totale de 2.753 hectares.

Medieval names are Gohhusa in 758, Juchiso in 824, Juchisa in 857. The oldest settlement is probably located at the dry and water lane. This place is one of the early medieval settlement nuclei, from which the village grew into a large cluster village. Jüchsen celebrated its 1250th anniversary in 2008. The center of the village is the Untere Tannenberg, the church hill, with the seat of the lord of Jüchsen (1148 to 1519), today the place of the elementary school. Only a few steps away is the church of St. Peter and Paul (new building 1628 to 1638) and the Old School (1616), now a museum. The museum, newly established in 1997, displays a variety of interesting exhibits. The visitor gets accurate insights into the history of Jüchten. A successful text and selection of exhibits make the visit an experience for all those interested in history. A special attraction is the scenic Widderstatt, one of the most important prehistoric settlement sites in southern Thuringia, located on the road from Jüchsen to Wachenbrunn. The settlement area formed at a spring basin has been visited by people since 8,000 BC. From here you can hike along the signposted Celtic Experience Trail in the direction of Steinsburg (Römhild) or to the Dolmar. Southwest of Jüchsen, not far from the road to Queienfeld, there are two meadows of special value: the Wirtswiese and the Graulache, which were declared protected landscape elements in 1996. A special event every year at the beginning of February is the Lichtmeß, a widely known carnival event. Jüchsen is the largest district of the Grabfeld municipality and currently has 1,523 inhabitants with a total area of 2,753 ha.
