About: St. Bernhard

Bernhard, un petit village situé entre Dingsleben et Beinerstadt, déjà mentionné pour la première fois dans un document en 956, se trouve à environ 7 kilomètres au sud-ouest de la ville de Themar. Avec une altitude moyenne de 487 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer, nous sommes situés assez haut par rapport aux environs immédiats, sur un plateau de calcaire coquillier. C'est pourquoi un vent frais souffle souvent ici, ce qui permet aux quelque 270 habitants de respirer un air pur. Pour les amoureux de la nature, Saint-Bernard n'a pas seulement son magnifique environnement à offrir, mais on peut également admirer un pin vieux de plus de 200 ans sur la Galgenhöhe. De là, si la vue est dégagée, l'observateur peut voir loin dans la région de Thuringe ou dans la Rhön. L'église actuelle a été construite de 1842 à 1844 à l'endroit où se trouvait, à l'époque chrétienne, une chapelle qui fut le point de départ de la colonisation. C'est un joyau dont les habitants de St. Bernhard sont particulièrement fiers. Le village est principalement marqué par l'agriculture. La coopérative agricole "Goldene Ähre" Beinerstadt est l'employeur de plusieurs habitants de la commune. Les associations organisent les fêtes du village, comme la fête du sport, la fête du fournil, la fête des enfants et la fête du sport celte. Le village est traversé par le "Kelten-Erlebnisweg", un sentier de randonnée interrégional qui part de Dingsleben, passe par le Galgenhöhe et continue vers Beinerstadt, Wachenbrunn et Widderstatt.

St. Bernhard, ein kleines Dorf zwischen Dingsleben und Beinerstadt, schon im Jahre 956 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt, liegt ungefähr 7 Kilometer südwestlich der Stadt Themar. Mit durchschnittlich 487 m über NN liegen wir im Vergleich zur näheren Umgebung ziemlich hoch, auf einem Muschelkalkplateau. Deshalb weht hier oft ein frischer Wind, der den ca. 270 Einwohnern eine saubere Luft beschert. Für den Naturfreund hat St. Bernhard nicht nur seine wunderschöne Umgebung zu bieten, sondern auch eine über 200 Jahre alte Kiefer ist auf der Galgenhöhe zu bewundern. Von hier kann der Betrachter bei guter Fernsicht weit ins Thüringer Land oder in die Rhön blicken. An der Stelle, an der zu christlicher Zeit eine Kapelle stand, die Ausgangspunkt der Besiedlung war, wurde von 1842 bis 1844 die heutige Kirche errichtet. Sie ist ein Schmuckstück, auf das die St. Bernharder besonders stolz sind. Der Ort wird vorrangig durch die Landwirtschaft geprägt. Die Landgenossenschaft „Goldene Ähre“ Beinerstadt ist Arbeitgeber für mehrere Einwohner der Gemeinde. Die Vereine organisieren die Feste im Ort, wie das Sportfest, Backhausfest, Kinderfest und das Keltensportfest. Durch den Ort verläuft der Kelten-Erlebnisweg, ein überregionaler Wanderweg, der von Dingsleben über die Galgenhöhe kommend, weiter nach Beinerstadt, Wachenbrunn und zur Widderstatt führt.

It is a jewel of which the people of St. Bernhard are particularly proud. The village is mainly characterized by agriculture. The agricultural cooperative "Goldene Ähre" Beinerstadt is an employer for several inhabitants of the village. The associations organize the festivals in the village, such as the sports festival, baking house festival, children's festival and the Celtic sports festival. The Celtic Experience Trail runs through the village, a supra-regional hiking trail that leads from Dingsleben over the Galgenhöhe, on to Beinerstadt, Wachenbrunn and to the Widderstatt.
