En 1661, le greffier d'Eisenberg Johann Christoph Lauhn a acheté le moulin. Il était utilisé comme moulin à foulon et à farine pour le foulage des peaux. En 1902, le propriétaire de l'époque obtint une licence de débit de boissons. Le moulin à foulon s'adapta également au tourisme, mais continua à être exploité jusqu'après la Première Guerre mondiale. De 1914 à la fin des années 1960, les locataires ou les propriétaires ont changé plusieurs fois. Au début des années 1970, le propriétaire de l'époque a vendu l'établissement à la VEB "Industrie-Isolierung" de Leipzig. Cette entreprise a procédé à des transformations et à une modernisation, tout en conservant l'ancienne disposition des bâtiments. Une nouvelle piscine en plein air et un bowling ont été construits. En 1991, un hôtel a été ouvert au public. Actuellement, le moulin à foulon est fermé.
In 1661, the Eisenberg clerk Johann Christoph Lauhn bought the mill. As a fulling and tanning mill, it was used for fulling hides. In 1902, the owner of the mill was granted a license to operate a tavern. The fulling mill also adapted to tourism, but continued to operate until after the First World War. Im Jahre 1661 kaufte der Eisenberger Amtsschreiber Johann Christoph Lauhn die Mühle. Als Walk- und Lohmühle wurde sie zum Walken von Häuten genutzt. 1902 erhielt der damalige Besitzer die Schankkonzession. Auch die Walkmühle stellte sich auf den Fremdenverkehr ein, wurde aber bis nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg weiterbetrieben. Ab 1914 bis Ende der 1960er-Jahre wechselten mehrmals die Pächter bzw. die Besitzer. Anfang der 1970er-Jahre erfolgte der Verkauf durch den damaligen Besitzer an den VEB “Industrie-Isolierung” Leipzig. Durch diesen Betrieb erfolgten Umbau und Modernisierung, wobei die Gebäude in der alten Anordnung erhalten blieben. Hinzu kam der Neubau eines Freibades und einer Kegelbahn. Im Jahr 1991 wurde ein Hotel für die Allgemeinheit geöffnet. Derzeit ist die Walkmühle geschlossen.
