Die ehemalige Ziegelmühle befand sich am Unstrutabzweig vor dem Wendewehr, einem offiziellen „Mühlgraben“ von circa 1,6 km Länge. Am Mühlgraben hatten einst 5 Mühlen ihr Gewerk. Im Jahr 1355 entstand die Ziegelmühle, welche das Mahlen von Rohton als Gewerk hatte. Der Name der Ziegelstraße, die 1604 erstmals genannt wird, ist auf die Ziegelmühle zurückzuführen. Eine Ziegelhütte oder Ziegelei ist nicht nachgewiesen. Die Namensgebung für das Wendewehr, als das „Ziegelmüllerswehr“ wird auch auf die Ziegelmühle zurückgeführt. Schon im Jahr 1577 bestand die Mühle nicht mehr.
