Mit etwa 1.100 Höhenmetern ist diese Tour das Richtige für ambitionierte Hobby Biker. Vom Parkplatz in Hohenwarte startend, überquert man zunächst die Saale über die beeindruckende Staumauer. Weiter geht es auf Singeltrails und Waldwegen ins Saaletal zur Alterbucht – einem beliebten Badeort in idyllischer Umgebung. Schon bald gelangt man zum nächsten Highlight der Tour, dem Mooshäuschen mit einem tollen Ausblick auf den Stausee. Dem Weg in Richtung Wilhelmsdorf folgend, geht es über tolle Pfade wieder Richtung Wasser bis zum Campingplatz Portenschmiede. Durch den Portengrund fährt man bergan bis zum Bockfelsen, einem Aussichtspunkt aus schroffem Schiefergestein. Über eine rasante Abfahrt gelangt man schließlich zum Campingplatz Neumannshof. Weiter geht es auf dem schönsten Teilabschnitt der Tour direkt oberhalb des Wassers bis zur Linkenmühle. Hier kann man eine kurze Rast einlegen und ein leckeres Eis genießen. Nun folgt eine einzigartige Überfahrt mit der Mühlenfähre auf die andere Seite der Saale. Im Anschluss folgt der längste Anstieg der Tour zur Hohen Leite - hier hat man einen grandiosen Blick über Althenroth und Neumannshof. Über die Drachenschwanzhütte geht es wieder abwärts bis an das Ufer der Saale zum Campingplatz Hopfenmühle. Im Anschluss folgt der Hermannsfelsen und der Ort Neidenberga. Unterhalb des Pühlingberges geht es vorbei an der Schäferwiese und der Zauche bis zum Campingplatz Lothra. Ab hier werden die letzten Kilometer am Wasser bis zum Ausgangspunkt der Tour auf Teer zurückgelegt.

Avec environ 1 100 mètres de dénivelé, ce parcours est idéal pour les vététistes amateurs ambitieux. En partant du parking à Hohenwarte, on traverse d'abord la Saale via la digue impressionnante. Ensuite, on emprunte des singletracks et des chemins forestiers vers la vallée de la Saale jusqu'à l'Alterbucht — un lieu de baignade populaire dans un cadre idyllique. Bientôt, on atteint un autre point fort du parcours, la petite cabane Mooshäuschen avec une superbe vue sur le réservoir. En suivant le chemin vers Wilhelmsdorf, on passe par de superbes sentiers qui ramènent vers l'eau jusqu'au camping Portenschmiede. On grimpe ensuite à travers le Portengrund jusqu'au Bockfelsen, un point de vue sur des schistes abrupts. Après une descente rapide, on arrive finalement au camping Neumannshof. La suite du plus beau segment du parcours longe directement au-dessus de l'eau jusqu'à Linkenmühle. Ici, tu peux faire une petite pause et déguster une délicieuse glace. Suit ensuite une traversée unique avec le bac des moulins vers l'autre rive de la Saale. Ensuite, on suit la montée la plus longue du parcours vers la Hohen Leite, offrant une vue grandiose sur Althenroth et Neumannshof. Par la Drachenschwanzhütte, on redescend jusqu'à la rive de la Saale au camping Hopfenmühle. Ensuite, viennent le Hermannsfelsen et le village de Neidenberga. Sous le Pühlingberg, on passe près de la Schäferwiese et de la Zauche jusqu'au camping Lothra. À partir de là, les derniers kilomètres au bord de l'eau se font sur du bitume jusqu'au point de départ.

With about 1,100 meters of elevation, this route is perfect for ambitious hobby bikers. Starting from the parking lot in Hohenwarte, you first cross the Saale over the impressive dam. Then you continue on single trails and forest paths into the Saale valley to Alterbucht – a popular bathing spot in an idyllic setting. Soon you reach the next highlight of the route, the Mooshäuschen with a great view of the reservoir. Following the way towards Wilhelmsdorf, you go over great trails back towards the water to the Portenschmiede camping site. Through the Portengrund, you ride uphill to the Bockfelsen, a viewpoint of rugged slate rock. Over a fast descent, you finally reach the Neumannshof campsite. The route continues along the most beautiful section directly above the water to the Linkenmühle. Here, you can take a short rest and enjoy a delicious ice cream. Now follows a unique crossing with the mill ferry to the other side of the Saale. Next is the longest climb of the route to the Hohen Leite – here you have a magnificent view over Althenroth and Neumannshof. Over the Drachenschwanz hut, it goes downhill again to the Saale shore to the Hopfenmühle campsite. Then follows the Hermannsfelsen and the town of Neidenberga. Below the Pühling mountain, you pass the Schäferwiese and the Zauche to the Lothra campsite. From here, the last kilometers along the water to the starting point of the route are on asphalt.
