An der "Specht-Skulptur" wandern Sie links über ein Feld. Als nächstes lauert eine Hexe auf Sie. Keine Angst! Es handelt sich nur um eine Skulptur. An einer Obstplantage vorrüber gelangen Sie zur Eisenbahnerbank, wo es sich gut rasten lässt. Noch besser geht dies aber auf der Chefbank. Anschließend geht es bergab. Sie erreichen mit dem Argusstein eine weitere interessante Skulptur. Im Naturschutzgebiet "Behringer Holz" lädt die Schutzhütte "Vogelschießen" zur Rast ein, bevor Sie auf das nun sichtbare Behringen zugehen können. Sie bleiben zunächst am südlichen Ortsrand und erreichen den Rastplatz Arno´s Ruh. Um den durchaus interessanten Ort genauer "unter die Lupe" zu nehemen, sollten Sie vom Sportplatz aus einen Abstecher unternehmen. Wieder am Sportplatz angelangt, folgen Sie einem Feldweg. Anschließend führtein Pfad durch Sträucher hindurch . Am Waldrand erreichen Sie den Rastplatz und Aussichtspunkt "Wartburgblick". Sie befinden sich nun auf dem Rennstieg. Der Rennstieg führt Sie weiter bergan und Sie gelangen zum Rastplatz Ortleppsruh, auch bekannt als Wagner Bank. Nun folgen Sie dem Weg zwischen dem Waldrand und einer Streuobstwiese. Nach ca. 300 m tauchen Sie in den Wald ein. Es geht weiter bergan. Nachdem Sie eine Forststraße gequert haben, erreichen Sie nach einem erneuten Anstieg das Baumeisterkreuz. Eine Forststraße führt nun an der Bunten Linde (Spechtslinde) vorrüber zur Schutzhütte am Försterstein, auch Rennstiegstein genannt. Die Forststraße endetfür Sie an einer Wendeschleife für Holztransporte. Nun erreichen Sie wieder das Terrain des ehemaligen Truppenübungsplatzes Kindel, worauf Warnschilder verweisen. Wenig später erklimmen Sie den Alten Berg, mit 494 m NN die höchste Erhebung des Hainich. Vom höchsten Berg geht es nun erst einmal bergab. At the edge of the forest you take the ascent to the <b>Craulaer Kreuz</b>, thus separating from the Hainich-Rennstieg and also following the Via Porta, the pilgrims' path Volkenroda - Waldsassen. You stay at the edge of the forest. Your view reaches into the Unstrut valley. You will also see Bad Langensalza and its towers as well as the tower of the treetop path. Then you continue across open fields. At a covered seating area, the path turns left and joins the Gelbe Route cycle path. A little later you pass a barrier and arrive at the <b>Steingraben</b>. While you are walking along the Steingraben, several historical boundary stones line the path. Afterwards, your path leads you along a section of the Thiemsburg Nature Trail. At the location "Baumrätsel" you should make a detour to the nearby <a href="https://baumkronen-pfad.de/de/">treetop path</a>. After you have solved all the tree puzzles, return to the Hainichlandweg and hike past the old oak tree to the <a href="https://forsthaus-thiemsburg.de/">Thiemsburg</a> grounds. At the pond behind the national park center, you now enter the balance beam path. Furthermore, a visit to the town of Bad Langensalza is worthwhile. At the <b>Weberstedter Kreuz</b>, there is another opportunity to take a rest. After you have covered another 500 m, you now enter the station Waldminchen the magical <a href="https://www.outdooractive.com/r/56338302/">MärchenNaturPfad Feenstieg</a>. You pass the Old Oak and leave the forest a little later at the <b>gate to the Hainich</b>. Now you can walk towards Weberstedt and reach the outskirts of <b>Weberstedt</b> at the campsite.</p>
