Zum zweiten Mal veranstaltete die Urlaubsregion Coburg.Rennsteig am 8. Juli 2023 ein eigenes Wanderevent "Grenzenlos Wandern in Coburg.Rennsteig" zusammen mit der Stadt Steinach. Für all diejenigen, die an diesem Tag nicht dabei sein konnten, teilen wir hier die beiden Touren - viel Spaß beim Nachwandern.

Unsere Wanderung beginnt am Parkplatz der Ski-Arena an der Straße zum Sibersattel, gleich am Sportgasthof. Von hier aus laufen wir die asphaltierte Straße ca. 2km talwärts bis zur Gießerei Heunisch, wo wir auf die Landstraße aus Lauscha treffen. Diese benutzen wir nach rechts gehend jedoch nur ca. 100m. Dann biegen wir schon nach links ab und überqueren auf einer kleinen Fußgängerbrücke, das Flüsschen Steinach. Nun geht es halbrechts weiter, wobei unser Weg nun stetig bergan verläuft. Zunächst überqueren wir die Bahnstrecke Steinach – Lauscha, um dann auf dem Bahnweg anzukommen. Auch diesen überqueren wir diagonal, um weiter auf einem schmalen Fußweg zum Felsenhäuschen auf dem Georgsfelsen zu gelangen. Dabei treffen wir nach ca. 300m auf den 6-Kuppen-Steig, der uns noch etwas begleiten wird. Am Felsenhäuschen bietet sich ein herrlicher Ausblick auf Steinach, der zum Verweilen einlädt. Weiter geht es dann auf dem besagtem 6-Kuppen-Steig, der uns auf die Höhen des Tierberges bringt. Der Rundwanderweg Nr. -5- führt auch auf diesem Weg entlang, der uns auf die Fahrstraße zur „Sockenalm“ bringt. Diesen Fahrweg benutzen wir etwa 300m, um dann nach links abzubiegen. Auch diesem Weg folgen wir etwa nur 150m und biegen gleich nach rechts ab, um dem Weg auf die „Pump“ zu folgen, der noch immer mit der Nummer -5- markiert ist. An der Weggabelung, die wir nach 400m errei-chen, halten wir uns rechts. Nach weiteren 500m erreichen wir den beliebten Aussichtspunkt „Pump“, der auf einer Höhe von 806m liegt und damit der höchste Punkt unserer Wanderung ist. Hier können wir wieder eine fantastische Aussicht genießen. Weiter geht der Weg oberhalb dieses ehemaligen Steinbruchs entlang zur ersten Versorgungsstation an einer einfachen Schutzhütte, welche wir nach weiteren 300m erreichen. Die Wegmarkierung -5- begleitet uns weiter bis zur Wegspinne am „Kaufmanns Geräum“. Von hier nehmen wir den Weg um den „Breiten Berg“ zur Hohen Warte nach Haselbach. Dort treffen wir auf das ehemalige Gasthaus „Zur Hohen Warte“ (Sieder), an dem wir nach rechts abbiegen und kurz der Landstraße nach Steinach folgen. Am Ortsausgangsschild biegen wir an der Spitzkehre nach links ab, um dem Weg zum Sportplatz zu folgen. Bevor jedoch dieser Platz erreicht ist, können wir noch die schöne Aussicht auf Haselbach genießen. Vom Sportplatz Haselbach sind es etwa 200m bis zum Abzweig, an dem wir nach links zum Gesundbrunnen abbiegen. Auf einem leicht abschüssigen Weg kommen wir zur nächsten Versorgungsstelle. Hier am Gesundbrunnen gibt es jedoch noch mehr für die Wanderer zu erleben. In einem Wassertretbecken kann man seinen ermüdeten Füßen etwas Gutes tun, in dem man sie zur Kühlung in das klare Wasser taucht. Nach dieser Rast geht es nun weiter in Richtung Steinach. Unser Weg führt uns auf die Trift, wo wir bei etwas Glück einige Alpakas in ihrem Gehege sehen können. Anschließend gelangen wir zum Rastplatz „Drei Ahorn“, an dem wir nach links nach Steinach abbiegen müssen. Jetzt geht es über den Schönsweg wieder abwärts, bis wir im Ort die Bürgerstaße erreicht haben. Am Ende dieser Straße kommen wir zur Hennersgasse, die uns zum Ziel im Schloss von Steinach bringt.

Notre randonnée commence au parking de la station de ski, sur la route menant au Silbersattel, juste à côté de l'auberge sportive. De là, nous suivons la route asphaltée environ 2 km en descente jusqu'à la fonderie Heunisch, où nous rencontrons la route nationale venant de Lauscha. Nous l'empruntons vers la droite sur environ 100 m seulement. Ensuite, nous tournons rapidement à gauche et traversons un petit pont piétonnier au-dessus du ruisseau Steinach. Maintenant, le sentier continue en légère montée en demi-tour à droite. Nous franchissons d'abord la voie ferrée Steinach–Lauscha, puis arrivons au chemin de fer. Nous le traversons en diagonale pour continuer sur un sentier étroit menant à la maisonnette sur le rocher Georgsfelsen. Après environ 300 m, nous rencontrons le sentier des 6 monts, qui nous accompagnera encore un moment. De la maisonnette, la vue sur Steinach est magnifique et invite à la halte. Nous poursuivons ensuite sur le sentier des 6 monts, qui nous mène sur les hauteurs de la montagne Tierberg. Le chemin circulaire n° -5- suit également ce tracé, menant à la route vers la « Sockenalm ». Nous utilisons cette route sur environ 300 m, puis tournons à gauche. Nous suivons ce chemin seulement sur environ 150 m avant de tourner à droite pour suivre le chemin vers la « Pump », toujours marqué par le numéro -5-. À la bifurcation que nous atteignons après 400 m, nous prenons à droite. Après encore 500 m, nous atteignons le point d'observation populaire « Pump », situé à 806 m d'altitude, le point culminant de notre randonnée. Ici, nous pouvons profiter à nouveau d'une vue fantastique. Le chemin continue au-dessus de cette ancienne carrière jusqu'à la première station de ravitaillement dans un abri simple, que nous atteignons après encore 300 m. Le balisage -5- nous accompagne jusqu'à la clairière appelée « Kaufmanns Geräum ». De là, nous prenons le chemin contournant le « Breiten Berg » vers la Haute Tour à Haselbach. Nous y trouvons l'ancienne auberge « Zur Hohen Warte » (Sieder), où nous tournons à droite et suivons brièvement la route nationale vers Steinach. Au panneau indiquant la sortie de la ville, nous tournons à gauche au virage en épingle pour suivre le chemin vers le terrain de sport. Avant d'arriver à ce terrain, nous pouvons encore profiter de la belle vue sur Haselbach. Depuis le terrain de sport de Haselbach, il y a environ 200 m jusqu'au détour où nous tournons à gauche vers la source curative. Sur un chemin légèrement en pente, nous arrivons à la prochaine station de ravitaillement. Ici, à la source curative, il y a encore plus à découvrir pour les randonneurs. Dans un bassin de marche aquatique, on peut faire du bien à ses pieds fatigués en les plongeant dans l'eau claire pour les rafraîchir. Après cette pause, la randonnée continue en direction de Steinach. Notre chemin nous mène à la Trift, où, avec un peu de chance, nous pourrons voir quelques alpagas dans leur enclos. Ensuite, nous atteignons la place de repos « Drei Ahorn », où nous devons tourner à gauche vers Steinach. Nous descendons ensuite à nouveau par le sentier Schöner, jusqu’à atteindre la Bürgerstraße dans le village. À la fin de cette rue, nous arrivons à la Hennersgasse qui nous mène à notre destination, le château de Steinach.

Our hike begins at the parking lot of the ski arena on the road to Silbersattel, right next to the sports inn. From here we walk about 2 km downhill along the paved road to the Heunisch foundry, where we meet the main road from Lauscha. We only use the main road for about 100 meters to the right. Then we turn left and cross the small Steinach river on a small pedestrian bridge. Now it goes half right uphill, with our path steadily ascending. First, we cross the Steinach–Lauscha railway line to reach the railway trail. We also cross this diagonally to continue on a narrow footpath to the rocky hut on Georgsfelsen. After approximately 300 meters, we meet the 6-Kuppen-Steig, which will accompany us a bit further. At the rocky hut, a magnificent view of Steinach invites us to pause. We continue on the aforementioned 6-Kuppen-Steig, which takes us to the heights of Tierberg. The circular hiking trail No. 5 also leads along this path, which takes us to the road to the "Sockenalm". We use this road for about 300 meters before turning left. We follow this path for about 150 meters and then immediately turn right to follow the path to the "Pump", still marked with No. 5. At the fork in the path reached after 400 meters, we keep right. After another 500 meters, we reach the popular viewpoint "Pump", which is located at an altitude of 806 meters and thus is the highest point of our hike. Here we can enjoy another fantastic view. From the Haselbach sports field, it’s about 200 meters to the junction where we turn left to the Gesundbrunnen. On a slightly downhill path, we come to the next supply station. At the Gesundbrunnen, there is even more to experience for hikers. In a water treading basin, you can do something good for your tired feet by dipping them into the clear water to cool them. After this rest, we continue towards Steinach. Our path leads us to Trift, where with some luck we can see some alpacas in their enclosure. Then we reach the rest area "Drei Ahorn", where we must turn left towards Steinach. Now it goes downhill again via the Schönsweg until we reach Bürgerstraße in town. At the end of this street, we come to Hennersgasse, which leads us to the destination at Steinach Castle.
