Der Weinwanderweg macht seinem Namen alle Ehre. Ausgangspunkt für die Wanderung ist das Thüringer Weintor (S). Von dort geht es in Richtung des Gradierwerks „Louise“. Die Anwohnerstraße „Am Gradierwerk“ mündet in einen Naturpfad in Richtung Sonnendorf, der Sonnendorfer Hang (1) ist von Weinreben umgeben. An einem der nächsten Weinhänge überqueren Sie die unsichtbare Grenze zu Sachsen-Anhalt (2), weiter in Richtung Sonnendorf (3). Ein lohnender Abstecher ist der Rastplatz Sonnendorf (4). Von der überdachten Sitzgruppe bietet sich ein wunderschöner Blick über die Weinberge und nach Bad Sulza. Anschließend wandern Sie auf dem Höhenweg weiter geradeaus in richtung Bad Sulza. Dort angekommen, unterlaufen Sie die Bahnunterführung (5) und gehen weiter in Richtung Kurpark mit dem historischen Inhalatorium und der Tourist-Information (6). Dort erhalten Sie den Stempel für die Wanderung. Anschließend geht es weiter in Richtung Ilm, das nächste Ziel ist ein Wasserrad (7). Über Serpentinen gelangen Sie bergauf zur Kopie des Goethe-Gartenhauses (8). Weiter am Parkplatz der Toskana-Therme entlang erreichen Sie schließlich das Thüringer Weintor. Erweiterte Tourbeschreibung: Thüringer Weintor – Unter der Sonnenburg – Am Sonnendorfer Hang – Sonnendorfer Sitzgruppe – Unter den Sonnenbergen – Kurpark mit Tourist-Information – Goethe Gartenhaus 2 – Thüringer Weintor Aufgrund der hügeligen Landschaft und dem besondern Licht wird die Gegnd auch „Thüringer Toskana“ genannt. Mildes Klima und die Tallage machen den Weinanbau möglich. Wanderausrüstung ist empfehlenswert. Beschaffenheit der Route: Wald- und Feldwege, Naturpfad, ein Stück an der Straße entlang, Fußwege Tipp: Direkt am Start befindet sich das Gradierwerk Louise. Hier rieselt Sole über das Geäst des Schwarzdorns, dabei entsteht ein salziger, feiner Niederschlag, der den Bronchien guttut. Atmen Sie hier einmal durch!

Le sentier viticole porte bien son nom. Le point de départ de la randonnée est le Thüringer Weintor (S). De là, vous vous dirigez vers le gradierwerk « Louise ». La rue résidentielle « Am Gradierwerk » débouche sur un sentier naturel en direction de Sonnendorf, le flanc de Sonnendorf (1) est entouré de vignes. À l'un des prochains coteaux viticoles, vous franchissez la frontière invisible vers Saxe-Anhalt (2), plus loin en direction de Sonnendorf (3). Une halte recommandée est le refuge Sonnendorf (4). Depuis ce groupe de sièges couvert, vous bénéficiez d'une superbe vue sur les vignobles et sur Bad Sulza. Ensuite, vous continuez à marcher sur le sentier en hauteur en direction de Bad Sulza. Arrivé là, vous passez sous le passage à niveau (5) et poursuivez vers le parc thermal avec l’historique inhalatorium et l’office du tourisme (6). Vous y obtenez le tampon pour la randonnée. Ensuite, vous continuez vers l’Ilm, la prochaine étape est une roue à eau (7). Par des serpentines, vous montez jusqu’à la copie de la maison de jardin de Goethe (8). Ensuite, vous passez près du parking de la Toskana-Therme et arrivez finalement au Thüringer Weintor. Ici, la saumure ruisselle sur les branches de l'épine noire, produisant une fine condensation salée qui est bénéfique pour les bronches. Respirez profondément ici !

The wine hiking trail lives up to its name. The starting point for the hike is the Thuringian Wine Gate (S). From there it goes towards the graduation tower “Louise”. The residents’ street “Am Gradierwerk” leads into a nature trail towards Sonnendorf; the Sonnendorf slope (1) is surrounded by grapevines. At one of the next vineyards you cross the invisible border to Saxony-Anhalt (2), continuing towards Sonnendorf (3). A worthwhile detour is the Sonnendorf rest area (4). From the covered seating area, there is a beautiful view over the vineyards and to Bad Sulza. Afterwards, you continue straight ahead on the ridge path towards Bad Sulza. Once there, you pass under the railway underpass (5) and continue towards the spa park with the historic inhalatorium and the tourist information (6). There you receive the stamp for the hike. Afterwards, continue towards the Ilm River; the next destination is a water wheel (7). You ascend via hairpin bends to the replica of Goethe’s garden house (8). Continuing along the parking lot of the Toskana Thermal Baths, you finally reach the Thuringian Wine Gate.
