Depuis le parking situé sur la route départementale (120 emplacements déneigés) d'Oberhof en direction de Schmücke, il faut parcourir environ 1,2 km à pied pour atteindre directement le sommet du Schneekopf (978 m). Une vue panoramique impressionnante vaut vraiment la peine de se promener ! La piste de luge aplanie convient aussi bien aux enfants qu'aux adultes et part du sommet du côté ensoleillé, jusqu'à la surface située en dessous du refuge Neue Gehlberger Hütte. From the parking lot on the highway (120 cleared parking spaces) from Oberhof in the direction of Schmücke, it is about 1.2 km on foot directly to the Schneekopf summit (978 m). An impressive panoramic view is well worth the walk! The leveled toboggan slope is suitable for children and adults alike and leads from the summit on the sunny side, to the area below the Neue Gehlberger Hütte. Daily from 10:00 - 16:00 the observation tower awaits its visitors. Vom Parkplatz an der Landstraße (120 geräumte Stellplätze) von Oberhof Richtung Schmücke geht es ca. 1,2 km zu Fuß direkt auf den Schneekopfgipfel (978 m). Ein beeindruckender Rundblick lohnt den Spaziergang allemal! Der planierte Rodelhang ist für Kinder und Erwachsene gleichermaßen geeignet und führt vom Gipfel auf der Sonnenseite, bis zur Fläche unterhalb der Neuen Gehlberger Hütte.
