About: Eichfeld

Der hauptsächlich aus zwei Gassen bestehende Ort Eichfeld liegt links des Schaalbaches im gleichnamigen Tal. Erstmals im Jahre 1074 als Eichenfeld erwähnt, war das Dorf über lange Zeit landwirtschaftlich geprägt. Ab dem 16. Jahrhundert arbeiteten mehrere Handwerker in Eichfeld, im 19./20. Jahrhundert gab es einige kleinere Gewerbebetriebe. Die Dorfkirche entstand 1751 auf den Resten eines Vorgängerbaues. 1771 wurde in ihr erstmals das vom schwarzburg-rudolstädtischen Kanzler Christian Ulrich von Ketelhodt gestiftete "Tulpenfest" gefeiert, das die Schulkinder für eifriges Lernen belohnte. 1950 fand der Zusammenschluss der Gemeinde mit dem benachbarten Keilhau statt. Beide Ortschaften gehören seit dem 1. Oktober 1993 zur Stadt Rudolstadt.

Le village d'Eichfeld, composé principalement de deux ruelles, est situé à gauche du Schaalbach, dans la vallée du même nom. Mentionné pour la première fois en 1074 sous le nom d'Eichenfeld, le village a longtemps été marqué par l'agriculture. À partir du 16ème siècle, plusieurs artisans travaillaient à Eichfeld, et aux 19ème et 20ème siècles, il y avait quelques petites entreprises commerciales. L'église du village a été construite en 1751 sur les vestiges d'une construction antérieure. En 1771, on y célébra pour la première fois la "fête des tulipes", offerte par le chancelier de Schwarzburg-rudolstadt Christian Ulrich von Ketelhodt, qui récompensait les écoliers pour leur assiduité aux cours. En 1950 a eu lieu la fusion de la commune avec sa voisine Keilhau. Les deux localités font partie de la ville de Rudolstadt depuis le 1er octobre 1993.

The village of Eichfeld, which mainly consists of two lanes, is located on the left side of the Schaalbach in the valley of the same name. First mentioned in 1074 as Eichenfeld, the village was agricultural for a long time. From the 16th century onwards, several craftsmen worked in Eichfeld, and in the 19th/20th century there were some smaller commercial enterprises. The village church was built in 1751 on the remains of a previous building. In 1771, the "Tulip Festival" donated by the Chancellor of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt, Christian Ulrich von Ketelhodt, was celebrated in it for the first time, rewarding the school children for diligent learning. In 1950 the merger of the village with the neighboring Keilhau took place. Both villages have belonged to the town of Rudolstadt since October 1, 1993.
