Die Vielsprachigkeit von Wasser ist das zentrale Motiv ihrer Lyrik, in der die Aufmerksamkeit auf dem sozioökologischen Gewicht der Gewässer liegt. Jan Röhnert gilt als einer der Vertreter des deutschen Nature Writing, dessen Auseinandersetzung mit der Natur auch in praktische „Wildnisarbeit“ übergeht. Seine Erkundungen führen ihn vom Schreibtisch weg in die Landschaften - ins Wendland etwa, wo er am Höhbeck neben der Artenvielfalt der Insekten auch die faszinierenden Mäander und Strömungen der Elbe beobachtet und beschreibt. Der Percussionist Kay Kalytta begleitet den Abend mit Sounds des Ozeans. Wasser als poetisches Element inspiriert Musik, Lyrik und auch das Nachdenken über Natur. An diesem Abend begegnen sich drei Perspektiven: Siljarosa Schletterer hört in ihren Gedichten der Fluss- und Seenlandschaft Mitteleuropas zu. Jan Röhnert nähert sich dem Wasser essayistisch. The Poetry of Water: Reading and Sounds with Siljarosa Schletterer, Jan Röhnert, and Kay Kalytta What stories does water carry with it? What words dwell in the waves? In her poems, Siljarosa Schletterer listens to the river and lake landscapes of Central Europe. The multilingual nature of water is the central motif of her poetry, in which attention is focused on the socio-ecological significance of bodies of water. Jan Röhnert is regarded as one of the representatives of German nature writing, whose engagement with nature also extends into practical “wilderness work.” His explorations take him away from the desk and into landscapes—such as the Wendland region, where at the Höhbeck he observes and describes not only the biodiversity of insects but also the fascinating meanders and currents of the Elbe. Percussionist Kay Kalytta accompanies the evening with sounds of the ocean. Water as a poetic element inspires music, poetry, and reflection on nature. On this evening, three perspectives come together: Siljarosa Schletterer listens to the river and lake landscapes of Central Europe in her poems. Jan Röhnert approaches water in an essayistic way.
