Dans la partie sud-est du parc du Belvédère se trouve la Tour Rouge, dont le bâtiment précédent se trouvait jusqu'en 1820 dans le jardin du Wittumspalais et servait de salon de thé. Goethe et Carl August s'y consacraient à leurs études scientifiques - il y avait également une petite bibliothèque botanique maison. Des manifestations de la société de cour y étaient régulièrement organisées.
Im südöstlichen Teil des Parks Belvedere befindet sich der Rote Turm, dessen Vorgängerbau bis 1820 im Garten des Wittumspalais stand und als Tee-Salon diente. Auf den Grundmauern der ehemaligen Stadtbefestigung wurde auf Wunsch Anna Amalias der Turm mit Chinoiserien ausgestaltet. Nach dem Tod der Herzogin wurde der Pavillon unter Aufsicht Johann Wolfgang von Goethes vom Standort am Theaterplatz nach Belvedere versetzt. Goethe und Carl August widmeten sich hier ihren wissenschaftlichen Studien - es gab auch eine kleine botanische Hausbibliothek. Regelmäßig fanden dort Veranstaltungen der Hofgesellschaft statt.
In the southeastern part of Belvedere Park is the Red Tower, the predecessor of which stood in the garden of the Wittumspalais until 1820 and served as a tea salon. On the foundation walls of the former city fortifications, the tower was furnished with chinoiseries at Anna Amalia's request. After the death of the duchess, the pavilion was moved from its location on Theaterplatz to Belvedere under Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's supervision. Goethe and Carl August devoted themselves to their scientific studies here - there was also a small botanical house library. Events of the court society were held there on a regular basis.
