Depuis de nombreuses années, l'auteur et chercheur en légendes Florian Schäfer se lance sur les traces des créatures légendaires européennes. À l'occasion de la publication de son nouveau roman « Verborgene Fabelwesen der Meere » (Les créatures fabuleuses cachées des mers), nous vous invitons à une soirée effrayante : vêtu d'un frac et d'un haut-de-forme, Schäfer se glisse dans le rôle du chercheur Konstantin O. Boldt et raconte, dans une lecture scénique, l'histoire de sirènes cruelles, de navires fantômes sinistres et de monstres sous-marins. Depuis sa plus tendre enfance, Florian Schäfer (né en 1991) est fasciné par les contes et légendes d'Europe centrale. En 2017, ce biologiste de formation a fondé le projet « Forgotten Creatures » dans le but de faire découvrir à un large public l'histoire culturelle des créatures mythiques. Mais il n'écrit pas seulement des ouvrages spécialisés et des romans : en tant qu'artiste, il crée des sculptures réalistes d'êtres mythologiques à partir de textes historiques, qui sont exposées dans de nombreux musées et expositions. Avec son équipe, il suscite ainsi l'enthousiasme de nombreuses personnes pour les créatures fabuleuses presque oubliées de notre passé. He presents his findings in an entertaining way while dressed as an underwater researcher. For many years, author and folklore researcher Florian Schäfer has been tracking European legendary creatures. To mark the release of his new novel Hidden Mythical Creatures of the Seas, we invite you to a delightfully eerie evening: wearing tailcoat and top hat, Schäfer slips into the role of researcher Konstantin O. Boldt and, in a staged reading, recounts tales of cruel mermaids, sinister ghost ships, and the monsters lurking beneath the waves. From early childhood, Florian Schäfer (born 1991) was fascinated by the fairy tales and legends of Central Europe. In 2017, the trained biologist founded the project Forgotten Creatures, aiming to make the cultural history of legendary beings accessible to a wide audience. He is not only an author of non-fiction and novels: as an artist, he creates lifelike sculptures of mythological beings based on historical texts. These works are displayed in numerous museums and exhibitions, where he and his team inspire many people with the nearly forgotten mythical creatures of our past. Seine Erkenntnisse vermittelt er unterhaltsam im Kostüm eines Unterseeforschers. Seit vielen Jahren begibt sich der Autor und Sagenforscher Florian Schäfer auf die Spuren europäischer Sagengestalten. Zur Veröffentlichung seines neuen Romans "Verborgene Fabelwesen der Meere" laden wir ein zu einem schaurigen Abend ein: Mit Frack und Zylinder schlüpft Schäfer in die Rolle des Forschers Konstantin O. Boldt und berichtet in einer szenischen Lesung von grausamen Nixen, düsteren Geisterschiffen und den Ungeheuern unter den Wellen. Von frühester Kindheit an faszinierten Florian Schäfer (Jahrgang 1991) die Märchen und Sagen Mitteleuropas. 2017 gründete der studierte Biologe das Projekt "Forgotten Creatures" mit dem Ziel, Kulturgeschichte rund um Sagengestalten an ein breites Publikum zu vermitteln. Er schreibt jedoch nicht nur Sachbücher und Romane: Als Künstler erschafft er lebensnahe Skulpturen mythologischer Wesen auf Basis historischer Texte, die in zahlreichen Museen und Ausstellungen gezeigt werden und begeistert so mit seinem Team zahlreiche Menschen für die fast vergessenen Fabelwesen unserer Vergangenheit.
