Depuis la gare de Saalfeld, on se dirige vers le centre-ville et tourne à gauche juste après le pont sur la Saale via l'escalier. De là, on passe devant les ruines du château fort « Hoher Schwarm » et le stade, jusqu'aux prairies de la Saale vers la passerelle des pionniers. On passe près d'un ancien espace de village et d'une petite chapelle remarquable pour arriver à Köditz. En suivant le chemin, on atteint la paroi Bohlen, un monument naturel géologique. À partir d'ici, un sentier étroit monte raide vers la droite. Arrivé en haut, une superbe vue s'ouvre sur la rive opposée de la Saale et les montagnes derrière. Le chemin étroit longe ensuite la crête de la paroi Bohlen. Veuillez ne pas vous approcher du bord ! Au bout, le sentier descend en lacets jusqu'à Obernitz. Un très court détour en passant par le pont de chemin de fer vers le point d'information Bohlenwand vaut le coup. À la sortie du village, le chemin monte à nouveau sur la gauche. Depuis la lisière de la forêt, on suit un sentier étroit jusqu'à Gleitsch. Ici, on découvre le pont du diable - les restes d'une grotte habitée par des hommes préhistoriques. Ensuite, ça monte de nouveau. Là se trouve un joli point de vue offrant un magnifique panorama sur la ville de Saalfeld. Saalestadt Saalfeld. En continuant sur le chemin, on aperçoit sur la gauche plusieurs remparts – c’est ici que les Celtes ont longtemps habité après les hommes préhistoriques. Par un chemin de prairie, on arrive à une intersection où le chemin continue à droite. Après environ un kilomètre, on atteint un nouveau point de vue qui ouvre une vue sur la vallée de la Saale et les localités de Weischwitz, Fischersdorf, Breternitz ainsi que Kaulsdorf. Le chemin suit encore le bord jusqu'au terrain de vol des deltaplanes. Depuis ici, environ 250 m à gauche, puis il faut prendre le chemin à droite en descente. Par la cabane d’observation « Nase », on arrive finalement dans la vallée à Kaulsdorf.

From the station in Saalfeld, walk towards the town center and turn left immediately after the Saale bridge via the staircase. From there, continue past the castle ruins "Hoher Schwarm" and the stadium along the Saale meadows to the Pioneer footbridge. Passing an old village green and a small chapel worth seeing brings you to Köditz. If you follow the path further, you reach the Bohlenwand, a geological natural monument. From here, the path goes steeply uphill to the right along a narrow path. At the top, a great view opens up over the opposite Saale shore and the mountains starting behind it. Continue along the narrow path at the upper edge of the Bohlenwand. Please do not go to the edge! At the end, the path goes down in serpentine curves to Obernitz. Here, a very short detour over the railway bridge to the Bohlenwand information point is worth it. At the end of the town, the path turns uphill again to the left. From the edge of the forest, follow the narrow path to Gleitsch. Here you will discover the Devil's Bridge – the remains of a cave inhabited by Stone Age people. Then the path goes uphill again. There is a beautiful viewpoint there with a wonderful view of the Saale town Saalfeld. Following the path further, you see several ramparts on the left – long after the Stone Age people, the Celts settled here. Across a meadow path, you arrive at a crossroads where the path continues to the right. After about one kilometer, you reach the next viewpoint, which opens the view over the Saale valley and the towns of Weischwitz, Fischersdorf, Breternitz, and Kaulsdorf. The path continues along the edge to the hang gliding site. From here, about 250m to the left, then take the path down to the right. Over the viewing hut "Nase" you finally reach the valley at Kaulsdorf.

Vom Bahnhof in Saalfeld geht man ich in Richtung Stadtzentrum und biegt direkt nach der Saalebrücke nach links über die Treppenanlage ab. Von dort läuft er vorbei an der Burgruine "Hoher Schwarm" und dem Stadion an den Saalewiesen zum Pioniersteg. Vorbei an einem alten Dorfanger und einer sehenswerten kleinen Kapelle gelangt man nach Köditz. Folgt man dem Weg weiter, gelangt man an die Bohlenwand, einem geologischen Naturdenkmahl. Ab hier geht es auf einem schmalen Pfad nach rechts steil bergauf. Oben angekommen eröffnet sich eine tolle Aussicht auf das genüberliegende Saaleufer und die dahinter beginnenden Berge. Weiter geht es auf dem schmalen Pfad entlang der Oberkante der Bohlenwand. Bitte nicht nach vorn an die Kante gehen! Am Ende geht der Weg in Serpentinen hinunter nach Obernitz. Hier lohnt sich ein sehr kurzer Abstecher über die Bahnbrücke zum Infopunkt Bohlenwand. Am Ortsende geht der Weg nach links wieder bergauf. Vom Waldrand folgt man dem schmalen Pfad zum Gleitsch. Hier entdeckt man die Teufelsbrücke - die Reste einer Höhle, die von Steinzeitmenschen bewohnt wurde. Danach geht es erneut bergauf. Dort befindet sich ein schöner Aussichtspunkt, an dem man einen herrlichen Blick auf die Saalestadt Saalfeld hat. Dem Weg weiter folgend, sieht man linker Hand mehrere Wälle - hier haben lange nach den Steinzeitmenschen die Kelten gesiedelt. Über einen Wiesenweg gelangt man an eine Kreuzung, an der der Weg nach rechts weiterführt. Nach ca. einem Kilometer gelangt man zum nächsten Aussichtspunkt, auf dem Sich der Blick auf das Saaletal und die Orte Weischwitz, Fischersdorf, Breternitz sowie Kaulsdorf eröffnet. Der Weg verläuft weiter an der Kante bis zum Drachenfliegerplatz. Von hier ca. 250 m nach links, um dann rechts den Weg hinab zu nehmen. Über die Aussichtshütte der "Nase" gelangt man schließlich ins Tal nach Kaulsdorf.
