La Schillerkirche a été construite comme une église-halle au 14e / 15e siècle. La première mention remonte à 1382. Sur le plan structurel, il s'agit d'un conglomérat de styles architecturaux gothiques et postérieurs. Après le début de la construction dans le style gothique, l'église n'a pu être terminée que plus tard, de manière plus modeste. Comme Friedrich Schiller et Charlotte von Lengefeld se sont mariés ici, l'église est populairement appelée "Schillerkirche". Après d'importants travaux de rénovation commencés en 1977, l'église et l'orgue ont été reconsacrés en 1997. En 2003, la salle de chorale a également été largement rénovée. En 2007, la congrégation a célébré le 700e anniversaire de son église. La vie paroissiale active invite jeunes et moins jeunes à chanter et prier ensemble et à puiser des forces pour la vie quotidienne. L'église des lumières, qui a lieu le premier vendredi de chaque mois, est particulièrement intéressante. Des concerts et des lectures spirituelles ont également lieu régulièrement.

Die Schillerkirche "Unserer Lieben Frau" wurde als Saalkirche im 14./15. Jahrhundert errichtet. Die Ersterwähnung wird bereits auf 1382 datiert. Baulich ist sie ein Konglomerat aus Gotik und späteren Baustilen. Nachdem der Bau im gotischen Stil begonnen wurde, konnte die Kirche später nur bescheidener fertiggestellt werden. Da hier Friedrich Schiller und Charlotte von Lengefeld heirateten, heißt die Kirche im Volksmund "Schillerkirche". Nach umfangreichen Sanierungsarbeiten ab 1977 wurden Kirche und Orgel 1997 neu eingeweiht. 2003 wurde auch der Chorraum umfassend erneuert. 2007 feierte die Gemeinde das 700-jährigen Bestehen ihrer Kirche. Das aktive Gemeindeleben lädt Jung und Alt ein, gemeinsam zu singen und zu beten und Kraft zu schöpfen für den Alltag. Besonders sehenswert ist die Lichterkirche immer am ersten Freitag des Monats. ebenso finden regelmäßig geistliche Konzerte und Lesungen statt.
