About: Elgersburg

Der Erholungsort Elgersburg ist vor allem durch seine gleichnamige Burg bekannt, die erstmals 1139 erwähnt wurde. Die Elgersburg ist eine der schönsten, ältesten und besterhaltensten Burgen Thüringens. Nach vielen wechselnden Besitzern verwaltet sie heute die Gemeinde Elgersburg. Im Sommer finden auf Schloss Elgersburg zahlreiche Open-Air Veranstaltungen statt. In den kalten Monaten lädt der Grosse Rittersaal zu Kleinkunst und Kultur ein. Die Schlossgalerie zieht mit ihren verschiedenen Ausstellungen Künstler und Gäste von nah und fern an. Die Geschichte Elgersburg wird seit Anfang des 19. Jh. durch seine Entwicklung zum Kurort 1837 bestimmt. 1828 wurde hier die 1. Kaltwasserheilanstalt Deutschlands gegründet. Jeder Gast kann sich bei einer geführten Quellenwanderung von der Wirkung des "Gesunden Naß" überzeugen.

The resort town of Elgersburg is best known for its castle of the same name, which was first mentioned in 1139. Elgersburg is one of the most beautiful, oldest and best preserved castles in Thuringia. After many changing owners, it is now administered by the municipality of Elgersburg. In summer, numerous open-air events take place at Elgersburg Castle. In the cold months, the Great Knights' Hall invites you to cabaret and culture. The castle gallery attracts artists and guests from near and far with its various exhibitions. The history of Elgersburg has been determined since the beginning of the 19th century by its development into a health resort in 1837. In 1828 the 1st cold-water sanatorium in Germany was founded here. Every guest can convince himself of the effect of the "healthy wet" during a guided spring hike.

La station balnéaire d'Elgersburg est surtout connue pour son château du même nom, dont la première mention remonte à 1139.
