Le chemin commence à Auma, résidence temporaire de Georg Kresse et lieu de son décès. Dans l'église du village de Piesegitz, Kresse a été marié à sa femme Anna Pissel. Peu avant Staitz, le chemin mène dans la vallée de Weida jusqu'au moulin historique Bermichsmühle, puis passe par le moulin à minerai près de Döhlen jusqu'à Dörtendorf. Ici, dans le lieu de naissance du général paysan, se trouvent la stube Kresse et le monument Kresse, sous la garde de l'association locale "Heimatverein Georg Kresse" e.V. Le chemin continue par la auberge forestière dans la vallée de Trieb (grotte Kresse) jusqu'à la ruine du château de Reichenfels près de Hohenleuben. Après environ 20 km, une pause y est conseillée. Le chemin continue ensuite en passant par le barrage de Hohenleuben, puis par Hain, Lunzig, Kühdorf, Wildetaube, Tschirma et Neugernsdorf. Arrivé à la destination – le village historique d’Anger Nitschareuth – le randonneur peut admirer l'ensemble unique de village classé monument avec son musée paysan historique. Dans la salle du musée, on peut aussi se restaurer.

The path begins in Auma, the temporary residence and place of death of Georg Kresse. In the village church of Piesegitz, Kresse was married to his wife Anna Pissel. Shortly before Staitz, the path leads into the Weidatal valley to the historic Bermich mill and continues past the Erz mill near Döhlen to Dörtendorf. Here, in the birthplace of the peasant general, is the Kressestube and the Kresse monument under the care of the “Georg Kresse Home Association” e.V. The path continues via the forest tavern in the Triebetal (Kresse cave) to the Reichenfels castle ruins near Hohenleuben. Here, after approx. 20 km, a rest should be taken. The path then leads past the Hohenleuben reservoir over Hain, Lunzig, Kühdorf, Wildetaube, Tschirma and Neugernsdorf. Arriving at the destination – the historic Anger village of Nitschareuth – the hiker can visit the unique listed village ensemble with its historic peasant museum. You can also refresh yourself in the museum room.

Der Weg beginnt in Auma, dem zeitweiligen Wohnort Georg Kresses und seine Todesstätte. In der Dorfkirche Piesegitz wurde Kresse mit seiner Frau Anna Pissel getraut. Kurz vor Staitz führt der Weg ins Weidatal zur historischen Bermichsmühle und weiter vorbei an der Erzmühle bei Döhlen nach Dörtendorf. Hier im Geburtsort des Bauerngenerals befindet sich die Kressestube und das Kresse-Denkmal in der Obhut des „Heimatvereins Georg Kresse“ e.V. Der Weg führt weiter über die Waldschänke im Triebestal (Kressehöhle) zur Burgruine Reichenfels bei Hohenleuben. Hier sollte nach ca. 20 km Wegstrecke eine Rast gemacht werden. Weiter führt der Weg an der Talsperre Hohenleuben vorbei über Hain, Lunzig, Kühdorf, Wildetaube, Tschirma und Neugernsdorf. Angekommen am Ziel – dem historischen Angerdorf Nitschareuth – kann der Wanderer das einzigartige denkmalgeschützte Dorfensemble mit seinem historischen Bauernmuseum ansehen. In der Museumsstube kann man sich auch stärken.
