In 1934, 27 winegrowers came together here to form the Freyburg Winegrowers' Association. Today, around 400 winegrowers work together with passion and dedication. The result is a range of wines with great diversity and an unmistakable aroma signature.
The Winegrowers‘ association (Winzervereinigung) Freyburg-Unstrut is a cooperative of various winegrowers who cultivate their vineyards in the Saale-Unstrut wine region. In the barrels of the wine cellar, red, white and rosé wines are produced, which carry the aroma of this wine-growing region. The area between Naumburg, Freyburg and Memleben has been actively cultivated for more than 1000 years, as the soil and climatic conditions are ideal for wine growing. The Saale-Unstrut region is considered the northernmost quality wine growing area in Europe. In addition to direct sales, the Winegrowers‘ association Freyburg-Unstrut offers cellar tours, wine tastings and numerous events in its own event area, the Anisium. There is a daily public cellar tour where visitors can learn all about wine production and even taste a glass of the winemaker's wine. There are also public vineyard tours that focus on the special features of winegrowing around Freyburg.
