Das UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe Wartburg in Eisenach und das UNESCEO-Welkulturerbe Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe in Kassel verbindet der erlebnisreiche Herkules-Wartburg-Radweg, der die Radler auf 110 km durch die eindrucksvollen Fluss- und Tallandschaften sowie in die märchenhafte Landschaft am Fuße des Hohen Meißner, führt. Ganz nebenbei "erfährt" man romantische Fachwerkstädte und –dörfer, die zum Verweilen und Ausspannen einladen.  In der documenta-Stadt Kassel erwartet Euch direkt die erste Welterbestätte mit dem Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe. Er gilt als Europas größter Bergpark und ist berühmt für seinen einzigartigen Baum- und Pflanzenreichtum, die Museen und Sehenswürdigkeiten, wie Schloss Wilhelmshöhe oder die Löwenburg und natürlich den Herkules und die Wasserspiele. In Eisenach gelangt Ihr zum zweiten UNESCO-Welterbe, der Wartburg. Neben der Heiligen Elisabeth verbrachte auch der Reformator Martin Luther hier einige Zeit seines Lebens und übersetzte das Neue Testament ins Deutsche.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site Wartburg in Eisenach and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe in Kassel are connected by the exciting Herkules-Wartburg Bike Path, which leads cyclists over 110 km through impressive river and valley landscapes and into the fairy-tale landscape at the foot of the Hoher Meißner. Along the way, you experience romantic half-timbered towns and villages that invite you to linger and relax. In the documenta city of Kassel, you will find the first World Heritage Site directly with the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe. It is considered Europe's largest hillside park and is famous for its unique variety of trees and plants, museums and sights such as Wilhelmshöhe Castle or Löwenburg, and of course the Hercules and the water features. In Eisenach, you reach the second UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Wartburg. Besides Saint Elisabeth, the reformer Martin Luther also spent some time of his life here and translated the New Testament into German.
